In one of the best Tom Homan media appearances yet, he utterly torched MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski in a smackdown of an interview, and then the White House chimed in with a brilliant article exposing just how Brzezinski had lied, and how right the border czar was in calling her out for it.
For reference, the interview at issue came on Tuesday, September 9. During it, Brzezinski insisted that the border enforcement agents were engaged in Stalin-style “disappearing” of illegal immigrants, claiming, “I’d love some transparency as to why a lot of these people have been disappeared. You say you have data. We would love to see it.”
Homan fired back and shut down that absurd claim completely, telling her, “You just said disappeared. That is a ridiculous thing to say because ICE is doing the same thing we’ve done for decades. But, because of the last four years, ICE wasn’t allowed to enforce the law. ICE was told to sit back.”
The two fought about much else as well, with Homan at one point calling out Brzezinski for a claim she and a guest had promoted earlier in the day about ICE raids, snapping, “I see on the show this morning you have Governor Healey talking about ICE doing enforcement operations at a church. False! Didn’t happen.”
The White House backed up Border Czar Homan in an awesome statement in which it documented Brzezinski’s lies and explained how they were incorrect. It began by noting, “This morning, the Trump Administration’s legendary Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a clinic in beating back the endless smears and lies from the Fake News. In an interview on MSDNC’s ‘Morning Joe,’ Homan quickly dismantled every lie and Democrat talking point regurgitated by ‘Morning Mika’ Brzezinski, who was completely out of her depth.”
Continuing, it noted one of the host’s big claims and attempts to discredit Mr. Homan and ICE, writing, “Morning Mika repeatedly demanded ‘to see that data’ after Homan noted that 70% of ICE arrests are criminals, while the others are national security threats or gang members who often lack a criminal history.”
Slamming her for that, the White House noted, “FACT: 70% of ICE arrests have involved illegal aliens convicted of, or charged with, crimes. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 35.7% of the illegal aliens in ICE detention have criminal convictions, 30.5% have pending criminal charges, and the remaining 33.8% are “other immigration violators” — while nearly 70% of those removed from the country have criminal histories.”

Next, the White House skewered Brzezinski for her claim that ICE is engaged in illegal “racial profiling,” noting, “FACT: The Supreme Court has upheld the Trump Administration’s legal right to stop individuals to briefly question them on their legal status . . . The ability of federal officers ‘to interrogate any alien or person believed to be an alien as to his right to be or to remain in the United States’ is NOT “racial profiling.”
Commenting on yet another lie, the White House said, “Morning Mika repeatedly cited the case of Narciso Barranco, who she claims was merely ‘cutting bushes at an IHOP’ before he was ‘surrounded by ICE agents wearing masks and dragged into a car.’” Slamming that lie, it said, “FACT: He is an illegal immigrant who refused to identify himself to federal law enforcement, refused to comply with their commands, then assaulted agents with a weed whacker as he attempted to flee through a busy intersection.”
And, concluding by calling out Mika for the “disappearing” claim, the White House said, “Homan torched Morning Mika for suggesting that ICE is ‘disappearing’ people — correctly noting the ‘1,000% increase in the assaults on ICE officers’ largely due to that reckless rhetoric. FACT: The number is actually up from July, when ICE agents were facing an 830% increase in assaults as ICE agents are ambushed, assaulted, attacked, and doxed amid the dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric of unhinged Democrats.”
