Speaking in a powerful video outside the White House, former ICE head and current Trump Administration Border Czar Tom Homan announced that there would be no cutouts our exemptions for worksites as ICE continues massive raids meant to discover illegal aliens so that they can be arrested and deported.
As background, a few days prior to Homan’s statement, President Trump had taken to Truth Social to say that raids on hotels and farms are causing serious trouble for those industries, and so the raids would be paused, comments that drew quick outrage from MAGA and on which he quickly backtracked.
In that post that drew MAGA’s fury and seemed to signal an immigration enforcement change, Trump wrote, “Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace.”
The president then added that there would be “changes” to correct that, writing, “In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!
However, he backtracked on that near-immediately, saying, on the same day, “The Biden Administration and Governor Newscum flooded America with 21 Million Illegal Aliens, destroying Schools, Hospitals and Communities, and consuming untold Billions of Dollars in Free Welfare. All of them have to go home, as do countless other Illegals and Criminals, who will turn us into a bankrupt Third World Nation. America was invaded and occupied. I am reversing the Invasion. It’s called Remigration. Our courageous ICE Officers, who are daily being subjected to doxxing and murder threats, are HEROES. We will always have their back as they carry out this noble mission.
America will be for Americans again!”
A week later, Homan confirmed that all the illegals would be caught and deported, with no cutouts for farms or hotels. Speaking on the matter outside the White House, Homan noted that hiring illegals is illegal, saying, “Well, there’s a right way and wrong way to hire workers. There are legal programs of bringing farm workers in. Second of all, I’ve been saying for years, Congress needs to address this, but because Congress failed it just doesn’t mean we ignore it. It’s illegal to hire, knowingly hire a new little alien.”
Continuing, he explained that worksite enforcement operations will continue, saying, “But like I just talked about a few minutes ago, worksite enforcement, worksite enforcement operation. It’s just like at large operators. We’re going to base them on priority. Right for those we have a criminal nexus of trafficking, of forced labor, of tax fraud or tax evasion.”

He then added, however, that those with criminal backgrounds will be focused upon, saying, “I mean, we, we will concentrate in on work sites on a prior prioritized basis, just like we do at large operations. So anything we let’s just go farm look for illegal aliens. We’ll prioritize those who have a criminal past first.”
A reporter then asked Homan about the hotels and farms issue. Responding, he said, “ICE is enforcing laws enacted by Congress. Worksite enforcement operations is an important part of the work we do again. Where do we find most victims of trafficking worksite. Joe Biden stopped worksite. They said they cared about sex trafficking and forced labor trafficking, then they stopped work site enforcement. That was it. That was a dumb move.”
He then explained again that the priority would be on criminals, but all worksites would face continued raids, saying, “It’s a it’s a matter of messaging, proper message, the message is clear enough that we’re going to continue doing work site enforcement operations, even on farms and hotels, but based on a prioritized basis, criminals come first.”
