Shortly after Senator and 2024 Trump running mate JD Vance obliterated Minnesota Governor and 2024 Kamala Harris running mate Tim Walz during the Vice Presidential debate hosted by CBS News, one notable mainly for Gov. Walz’s bizarre response to being pressed about his trips to China and the bias of the moderators, “The View” went crazy.
Particularly, the hosts went crazy over Sen. Vance’s refusal to comment on if former President Donald Trump actually lost the 2020 presidential election and on his pressing Gov. Walz on why Vice President Harris is yet to fix the things she claims she will fix, as she is currently in the White House as Vice President.
Sunny Hostin was the one who lost it over the senator’s refusal to comment on the 2020 election. She declared that Gov. Walz was the “clear winner” of the debate because of that, saying that Gov. Walz had delivered a good answer to the question about China and that Sen. Vance didn’t give an answer about 2020.
Hostin, freaking out over Sen. Vance’s refusal to give an answer to the 2020 question, said, “That was the craziest part, because no answer is an answer.” Continuing, she said, “[Walz] was willing to admit he made a mistake [on the Tiananmen Square protests answer.] On the other hand, J.D. Vance refused to admit that Trump lost the 2020 election. He is an election denier. That, in my view, now only makes him unfit, but disqualifies him from the very office he’s running for.”
Chiming in, Sara Haines was temporarily the voice of reason and said that Sen. Vance had done a good job at putting on a more pleasant front, saying, “we didn’t see the J.D. Vance of the ‘childless cat ladies'” remark, and that “he was able to do something Donald Trump is not able to do: He was able to appear normal and even likable for about two hours.”
Haines then added, “If you were watching for substance and policy, Tim Walz cleared, clearly crossed that bar for me, because there were a couple things that were bothering me last night. JD Vance kept repeating, why hasn’t Kamala Harris done that yet?.” The “‘Why hasn’t Kamala Harris done that yet?'” question regarding the policy proposals that she has now made for the 2024 presidential race, asking why she hasn’t done them already. Vance’s comments on the matter evidently angered the hosts, as they freaked out over it.
When Haines brought up Vance’s question about why Harris hasn’t “done that yet,” ‘Whopi Goldberg interjected and declared she’s “not the president!” Hostin then chimed in as well and questioned the senator’s knowledge of the American government, snapping and asking, “Has he taken a civics class?”
Continuing, Hostin declared, “For the very job you’re running for, you are the Vice President, the second in charge. This was Biden’s administration. He did say, like, three times, ‘Why hasn’t she done it yet?’ And I’m like, if we have to stop this for a second to explain what a vice president does, we are really in trouble here.” Watch them here:
