WATCH: “The View” Co-Host Sunny Hostin Melts Down after FNC Trashes Kamala in Wild Interview

In the wake of the epic demolition of Vice President Kamala Harris that could be seen during the interview Bret Baier did with her on Fox News Channel, an interview released on the night of Wednesday, October 16, “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin melted down and accused Fox News of racism and sexism given how the interview went.

Hostin said as much when, after the interview, she appeared on MSNBC to discuss the interview, one that took the internet by storm given incredible moments like when Kamala started shouting about “democracy.” Hostin spoke with MSNBC host Ari Melber, who began the interview by praising Harris for a statement on former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

Hostin, for her part, described Harris as having been in “complete command” of the important information and as being someone who loves America and “is competent,” statements that most on the right and some on the left would disagree with. Beginning, she noted that she was up close to the interview, saying, “I watched the entire interview in the green room. I had the pleasure of doing that.”

Continuing, she praised Harris for her performance in the interivew, saying, “And what I saw is someone who loves this country, who is competent, who is fit to be the president of the United States, who is in complete command of the facts and understands the stakes and what that our democracy truly is at stake.”

Later on, Hostin praised Harris for agreeing to do the interview, saying that in doing so she went into “enemy territory.” Continuing, Hostin declared that FNC viewers have been “fed” “misinformation and disinformation,” saying, “I think that she did that because there are a group of people that have been fed over and over again misinformation and disinformation on Fox News.”

Continuing, Hostin referred to a court case involving Tucker Carlson and tried to discredit Fox News by saying, “I mean, you have a court, you have a judge saying that it’s entertainment and not facts and not news.” That was ironic considering she was on the far-left MSNBC and comes from “The View.”

Then, Hostin lost it when referring to a post-interview panel, decrying criticism of Harris as sexist and racist. She said, “You know, I saw a little bit of the panel after the interview, and one woman said that she ‘came in hot,’ and also said that she became angrier. I thought he came in hot, and what I am very tired of is this trope of the angry black woman. She was not angry. She was in command of the facts. She was passionate.”

Further, Hostin declared, “Passion does not equal anger. You know, I’m often called, you know, Donald Trump actually called me dumb at a rally recently. You have these tropes that are used against women and women of color in particular. And I did not see a dumb woman. I did not see an angry woman. I saw a woman who understands what is at stake. And I thought that she was very, very strong.”
