Recently, a lifelong Pennsylvania liberal explained that he will be voting for former President Donald Trump during fleeing the Democratic Party. If others in swing states, such as Pennsylvania, decide to vote similarly, this could spell bad news for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
According to Steve Rosenberg, who has historically voted Democrat, the growing extremism among those on the left has pushed him to endorse former president Trump. Particularly amid the growing anti-Israel sentiment among some in the Democratic Party, Rosenberg asserted that there is “one candidate” for Jewish Americans in the upcoming election.
During an appearance on Fox News, Rosenberg told Dana Perino, “If you’re a Jew, if you’re pro-Israel, there’s only one candidate here.” While Kamala Harris has postured as a candidate who vaguely supports Israel, Rosenberg maintained, “Actions speak louder than words. Kamala Harris has surrounded herself with some of the worst Jew haters that there are. Maher Bitar… Philip Gordon, Ilan Goldenberg’s got a nice name, but if you look at their records, they are pro-Iran. They are not pro-Israel.”
Rosenberg emphasized that for Jewish voters, this trumps all other issues on the ballot. “To me, all the other issues that are on the table, whether you be climate-oriented, abortion-oriented, whatever your orientation is, if you are not focused on being a Jew and being pro-Israel right now, we are in the fight for our literal lives,” he said.
Addressing the fear some have of being associated with former President Trump, Rosenberg maintained that the dire circumstances in America leave voters with no choice. “Some are afraid to say that they’re going to support Donald Trump for whatever the reasons are,” he said. “And there are some that still say things like, ‘I would never vote for a Republican. I would never vote for Donald Trump.’ They’re worried about what happened on January 6th, which is insanity to me, because they’re not worried about what happens in the country every single day, which is 10 times worse than January 6th.”
Continuing to stress that Jews face an existential crisis, he claimed that Jews run the risk of being eliminated within the next few years if they don’t vote accordingly. “If you are a Jew and you are worried and not worried about your literal existence, then I don’t know what else to tell you,” he said. “And all those issues won’t be there if we’re dead in four years. They’re trying to kill us.”
The American Tribune recently reported on other news suggesting longtime Democrats are growing tired of their party. Earlier this month, it was reported that former high-ranking California Democrat Gloria Romero would be leaving the party to become a Republican in the deep blue state.
She said, “Today, I am leaving the Democratic Party. I stayed for as long as I could. I tried reforms, I spoke out, I voted. Today, I say goodbye, adios, I’ve had enough.” She added, “I will vote for Donald Trump this fall.”
