Last year, Sunny Hostin, one of the hosts on The View, claimed that earthquakes are the result of climate change. Even her ultra-woke co-workers pushed back on the ludicrous claim. Online users reacted to a clip of the conversation, and many mocked Hostin for her argument. However, Hostin was not the only woke activist to make this mistake.
“All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on,” said Sunny Hostin. She claimed that her studio makeup artist “put on her coat” and “ran down the hallway” during the earthquake, saying, “Jesus is coming” and “The rapture is here.”However, her co-hosts, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg pushed back on her theory.
“Except earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change. It’s underground. It can’t,” Behar objected. “How about the warming of the planet?” Hostin interjected.“ No, it happens,” Goldberg interupted. “And the eclipse, they’ve known about the eclipse coming because eclipses happen, and they actually can say when these things are going to happen.”
” So all these folks who are saying, you know, it’s a sign from God. God doesn’t give you warning,” she concluded. Online commenters jumped on the TV host for her mistake. In a now deleted post, Christina Amira Khalil, a member of the Green Party, posted a similar message. “I experienced my first earthquake in NJ. We never get earthquakes,” she said. “The climate crisis is real. The weirdest experience ever.”
After she was slapped with a community note and relentlessly mocked, she deleted the post. Social media users were also quick to make fun of Hostin.“When Whoopi Goldberg has to give you a science lesson… don’t look for an invitation to join Mensa in the mail,” one user said to mock Hostin and the other View hosts. Others drew attention to how influential the View is.
“These are the morons who tell liberal women how to think, feel, and vote. This country will not survive 4 more years of this much stupid,” quipped one commenter. “meanwhile greg gutfield and his guest panelist Godzilla are discussing how to poke fun at Sonny and solor eclipse experts on the view. Godzilla pointed out that sonny doesn’t know astronomy to understand that solor eclipises aren’t related to climates,” another pointed out.
“Oh please make this stop…. I’ll admit I’m not that bright, but even I know that eclipses are not caused by bloody climate change FFS,” noted one account.” I’m pretty sure The View panel turning on each other is the second Horseman of the Apocalypse. The first, of course, is Jimmy Kimmel hosting the Oscars four times,” another joked.

The View ladies struggled through their eclipse segment today.
Sunny Hostin didn’t know how to pronounce “cicadas,” and then she linked earthquakes and the eclipse to climate change.
Joy Behar actually corrected her
Whoopi was droning on about the rapture. Incredible stuff. pic.twitter.com/vEodeWFHRb

“This started with Oprah. ,now this?? Seriously They get ratings because of their stupidity. Its the Truman show movie in real life. I would almost say give them a 24 hour channel but the unemployed women just eat this up,” one user suggested. “Seriously. Why would anyone want to view “The View” except for comedy, or for commentary on American ignominy? Do American women really think like them?” another noticed.
