Appearing for an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, December 7, far-left “Squad” Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) went berserk over White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller’s rhetoric regarding mass migration and deportations, claiming that the Jewish conservative’s comments about the problem were reminiscent of “the Nazis”.
As background, Miller has joined many in MAGA and the Trump Administration in highlighting the massive threat posed to the American nation from mass migration, saying that it is a huge problem that could mean the turning of America from First World to Third if allowed to continue happening on a massive scale.
Posting about the matter on X, Miller tweeted, “This is the great lie of mass migration. You are not just importing individuals. You are importing societies. No magic transformation occurs when failed states cross borders. At scale, migrants and their descendants recreate the conditions, and terrors, of their broken homelands.” That came in response to a post defending the presence of migrants from Afghanistan in America.
Host Margaret Brennan said, “I want to ask you about something else that the architect of the president’s immigration policy, Stephen Miller, said on Thanksgiving Day.” Then, after reciting the tweet, she asked, “What do you make of this argument? Failure to assimilate and sort of ruining America? How do you understand this?’
Responding, Rep. Omar went berserk and insisted that Miller was sounding like a Nazi in his opposition to mass migration, saying, “I mean, when I think about Stephen Miller and his white supremacist rhetoric, it reminds me. Yes, it reminds me of the way the Nazis described Jewish people in Germany.”
Continuing, Omar referenced the Nativist opposition in the 19th and early 20th centuries, though without really getting to a point about it, saying, “And, you know, as we know, there have been many immigrants who have tried to come to the United States with turned back the, you know, one of them being Jewish immigrants. We know the way that people were described who were coming from Ireland. Irish immigrants, we know the way in which people were described back then. And they were Italian immigrants.”
She then insisted that Somali migrants are a blessing for America, ignoring the massive fraud problem that has caused many Americans to be particularly skeptical of mass migration. She said, “And to me, in a way where, yes, of course, ethnically Somali, we are in this country as Americans. Yeah, we are citizens. We are productive, part of this nation.”

During the same interview, Omar also attacked President Trump for what he has said about the Somali migrants in America. She said, “It’s disgusting. It’s completely disgusting. These are Americans that he is calling garbage. And we feel like there is an unhealthy obsession that he has on the Somali community, and an unhealthy and creepy obsession that he has with me.”
Further, the Somali-born politician insisted that the “hateful rhetoric” could lead to violence, ignoring the left’s current history of violence against conservatives, and the sort of hateful rhetoric she had just directed at Stephen Miller. She said, “I think it is also really important for us to remember that this kind of hateful rhetoric and this level of dehumanizing can lead to dangerous actions by people who listen to the president.”
