In yet another funny but headache-inducing Democrat meltdown in the wake of President Donald Trump’s election and inauguration, former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, known mainly for failing twice against current Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, appeared on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out” on Wednesday, January 29. Doing so, she said that Trump is making it “safe to discriminate” by demolishing DEI.
Such is what Abrams said when ranting to equally woke host Joy Reid about the state of things in America now that Trump has been inaugurated and started going after the left with a vengeance, such as by canceling DEI programs to the extent he is able to do so as the chief executive. Abrams was quite unhappy about that.
Beginning, she said that the GOP is all on board with Trump and Project 2025, which seems to be guiding him. She said, “While Donald Trump may be the avatar, he’s not an outlier as long as the rest of the Republican Party suborn what is happening. Whether it’s Stephen Miller at the podium or a U.S. senator they are all agreeing to the premise of Project 2025.”
Continuing, she described slavery as America’s “original sin” and declared that the Trump government is doing its best to make discrimination legal. She said, “Which is they want to hoard opportunity and legalize discrimination. We have spent 248 years as a nation undoing our original sins, which include slavery, silencing women, denying native Americans their citizenship a whole host of challenges.”
She then started snapping abou the post-Civil War amendments, incorrectly suggesting that they are what make DEI programs legal and tolerable. She said, “But what we’ve done since then, we’ve passed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments, which, by the way, you can’t rescind with an executive order.”
Still not done, Abrams ranted about the obviously guilty “Central Park Five,” who used lawfare to get out of trouble after committing horrific crimes in New York City’s Central Park, saying, “This is the same man that bought him billboards saying that the Central Park Five should be put to death.”
Further, Abrams insisted that Trump’s dislike of former President Barack Obama was rooted in racism and “fomented” a dangerous “trope” about the much-disliked former president, saying, “This is not new behavior. This is also the man who began or at least fomented very aggressively the trope about Barack Obama.”

She then argued, absurdly, that Trump is motivated by “Christian Nationalism” and wants to effect “racial discrimination,” saying, “So let’s be clear. But this is not a bug this is a feature because those who may not necessarily agree with Christian Nationalism and may revile the notion of racial discrimination seem very comfortable with the possibility that they don’t have to compete anymore if these communities and if these groups can’t protest discrimination.”
She then added, reiterating her absurd claims about discrimination and totally missing the point of anti-DEI sentiment, “That is what they’re saying, Republicans right now are helping make it safe to discriminate.” Watch Abrams go on her angry rant about Trump and the GOP here:
