Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) sparked controversy after speaking at an event this past weekend that reportedly had ties to Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO). The “Squad” member delivered remarks at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, where she rallied support for Palestine while simultaneously criticizing Israel and President Biden.
According to a report from Open Source Intelligence Monitor, A Sitting-Member of Congress, Rashida Tlaib, was a Speaker yesterday at the “People’s Conference for Palestine,” which was Funded and Supported by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a Communist-Terrorist Group which is Headquartered in the Syrian Capital of Damascus. The Group has been Designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the by the United States, Japan, Canada, and the European Union; yet a U.S. Congresswomen thought it would be a Good Idea to speak at a Conference which was Promoted by the Group.”
The Detroit event at which Tlaib spoke was reportedly organized by the People’s Forum, a leftist organization tied to the multimillionaire communist activist Neville Roy Singham. Singham currently resides in Shanghai and has been described as a “conduit for CCP geopolitical influence.”
Subsequently, members of Congress have called for Tlaib to be held accountable for her participation in the conference. Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) said, “@RashidaTlaib should be removed from Congress immediately. Associating with and speaking before groups that are funded by US-designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying.” Furthermore, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said, “When people choose sides – you should believe them.”
“Welcome to the most beautiful blackest city in the country, the city of Detroit I don’t know if I need to remind you all but Detroit we birth movements, not just labor movement. We birth movements on environmental justice, on women’s rights and so much more,” Tlaib opened her speech at the conference.
She continued, “So welcome, gain strength from this amazing, beautiful black city that raised me … I don’t need to tell you that you’re on the right side. I don’t need to, but I’ll be damned if I wait 10 years before they apologize to all of you for doing what was right at this moment.”
Rep. Tlaib further slammed the government for sending aid to Israel, labeling the Jewish state an “apartheid government,” suggesting that the U.S. is supporting genocide. She also addressed a recent ruling from the International Court of Justice that Israel must cease its military operations in Rafah. Watch Tlaib’s speech below:
“Each year. Our country and I say our country because it is our country sends billions of dollars to maintain an apartheid government and support the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear them for protesting to save lives no matter of faith or ethnicity. It is cowardly. But we’re not going to forget November our week the International Court of Justice just ruled that the Israeli government must stop its invasion of Rafah,” she added.
The “Squad” member directly called out President Biden for his alleged responsibility in the ongoing conflict. She stated, “But President Biden says what’s happening with us is not a genocide where’s your red line President Biden you all every single bullet every single gun every single weapon bombs that we send is the sacrifice of our own schools here at home. Many of which, when I go into the schools have garbage bags over their drinking fountains because they don’t have clean water President Biden I hope you hear us loud and clear.”
