In an absolutely bonkers admission during a furious fight in Congress with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Fairfax County Commonwealth’s attorney Steve Descano, known for being funded by George Soros, insisted that his campaign promises were just lies that no one expected him to honor, and that thoe who believed him were “obtuse”.
That came after Rep. Jordan pointed out that his campaign pledges, as articulated on his website, involved some sense of being pro-border security, but that those messages had been removed from his website’s policy section prior to the hearing before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement.
For reference, the removed section of Descano’s campaign website’s policy section said, “Our office will take immigration consequences into account when making charging and plea decisions.” It added that prosecutors will consider the “detrimental impact that deportation/removal has on the families and communities those removed or deported leave behind.”That pledge language has since been removed, something that the Soros-backed prosecutor would not explain.
Descano insisted that he can’t be held to his campaign promises because they were just puffery, and that, in any case, his policy section was not pro-ICE. “My policies do not say that we do not prosecute based on immigration status,” Descano told Rep. Jordan. “Well if it’s not your policy, then why did you change your website?” Jordan asked.
That’s when Descano dropped the bomb, revealing that he never intended on honoring those pledges anyway. “Because that’s not my policy. As I told you, sir, that is a campaign statement made before I was Commonwealth attorney … I could not believe that people were so obtuse that they could not realize what the difference between a campaign statement and an actual office policy is,” Descano said.

Authorities in Fairfax County, like Descano, have faced intense criticism for the fact that they shockingly released an illegal alien named Walvin Victor Hugo Garcia who had committed horrific crimes against a child, though he was then arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on May 1, as reported to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Sounding off on the matter and calling out the authorities for putting citizens at risk, DHS acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis said, “Governor Spanberger and her fellow sanctuary politicians in Fairfax, Virginia refused to cooperate with ICE and RELEASED this child rapist from jail back onto the streets.”
Bis added, commenting on the horrible crimes of the illegal alien released by the authorities, Bis then said, “This criminal illegal alien from Guatemala has been charged with r-ping a child under 13, aggravated s-xual battery of a victim under 13, and distributing drugs to a minor. Thanks to our brave law enforcement, this sicko is out of our communities.”
Concluding, Bis insisted that authorities in the area, such as Descano, are putting American lives at risk with their insane policies, saying, “Governor Spanberger and Fairfax sanctuary politicians are playing Russian roulette with American lives by releasing criminals from jail into American neighborhoods.”
