Saturday Night Live personality Chloe Fineman recently explained how Elon Musk drove her to tears several years ago when he critiqued her comedy, stating that he didn’t find it funny. In a now-deleted video shared to her TikTok, Fineman shared a story about the multi-billionaire after he slammed Dana Carvey’s recent impression of him on the show.
In the video, Fineman stated, “OK, I just saw some news article about Elon Musk being like butt-hurt about ‘SNL’ and his impression, but I’m, like, you’re clearly watching the show. Like, what are you talking about?” The cast member continued, “And I’m like, you know what? I’m gonna come out and say at long last that I’m the cast member that he made cry. And he’s the host that made someone cry. Maybe there’s others.”
Continuing, Fineman said, “But I saw some articles and stuff, and I was like, I’m not gonna say anything, but I’m like, ‘No, if you’re gonna, like, go on your platform and be rude,’ like, guess what? You made I, Chloe Fineman, burst into tears because I stayed up all night writing the sketch.”
Recounting Musk’s reaction to her writing, “I was so excited. I came in, I asked if you had any questions, and you stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla. And were like, ‘it’s not funny.’ I waited for you to be like, Haha. JK, no. Then you started pointing my script, like, flipping each page, being like, ‘I didn’t laugh.’ Just I didn’t ask one stop one time, cut to the sketch, made it on, and it was like, fine. And I actually had a really good time. And I thought you were really funny in it. But, you know, have a little manners here, sir!”
Reportedly, Musk had made other cast members of SNL cry as well. “This man who…this person, this host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday during the, before the table-read, because he hated the ideas,” cast member Bowen Yang claimed.

The American Tribune recently reported on Musk’s comments at a pre-election rally alongside President-elect Donald Trump. “We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot,” he said, seemingly referencing Biden’s past struggles with the stairs of Air Force One while applauding Trump’s bravery after being shot. “America is the home of the brave, and there’s no truer test than courage under fire, so who do you want representing America?” he said.
The billionaire entrepreneur continued, “This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote effectively. You’ve got 14 states now that don’t require voter I.D. California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID for voting. I still can’t believe that’s real. So, how are you supposed to have a good, proper election if there’s no ID? It’s meaningless.”
