WATCH: Senator Unleashes Fury on John Thune and the RINOs, Demands the Senate Recess be Cancelled ad the SAVE America Act Passed

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) unleashed the hounds of the underworld on the Senate floor during a recent speech, calling on Senate Majority Leader John Thune to cancel the August recess and pass the SAVE America Act to protect American elections, especially as we continue to barrel toward the 2026 midterms. The SAVE America Act requires those registering to vote to provide proof of citizenship and to present photo ID when casting ballots.

“You don’t have to be a senior at Caltech to know that the American people, no matter what your political philosophy is–Democrat, Republican, Independent, Socialist, Communist, whatever–you wonder about elections now. You wonder about the integrity. I mean, I don’t know how widespread, if at all, this is,” Kennedy started out his remarks.

It was recently revealed by the Department of Homeland Security that thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens have been registered to vote in states like New Jersey, California, and several others. Kennedy’s comments reflect the reality that the U.S. government has no idea just how much more widespread that issue might be.

“But in New Jersey, we just discovered that the entire population of Bolivia is registered to vote in New Jersey. That’s a bit of an overstatement, but after saying there’s no problem with our voter rolls, we discover stuff like this, and we just witnessed elections in California that take months to resolve. When it takes a month to declare a winner to the good people of California, what do you think they’re going to think? Particularly the loser,” Kennedy continued.

” Look, if America is going to survive, we we we’ve got to be we let me in terms of your party. You’ve got to be willing to lose and accept that you’ve lost, and in order to do that, you got to trust in the election. So when I think of the Save Act, I’m thinking of election integrity. And really, what the Save Act means to me is two things,” the Louisiana Republican explained.

“It means you have to prove you are who you say you are in order to vote, and in order to register to vote, it’s very simple. Rule number one: you have to prove who you say you are in order to register vote to vote and to vote. And number two: we need to go back to having an election day and not an election month. We need to know who the winner is on election night, and if it’s a really close race, I can understand it bleeding over until the next day,” he said, calling out states for taking too long to count votes.

“I just want to require those votes to be tallied by election night, on election night. Now that this is all real easy for me to say, but the states run elections, and they run federal elections, and it’s real easy for me and all of us in the Senate to give them orders. But they have to have money to implement these rules, and we have a budget resolution that was sent over to us by the House,” the Louisiana senator explained.

Kennedy then shared that if a motion came up on the Senate floor to cancel the August recess in order to get votes taken on issues that matter to voters, he would support it. “And if there is a motion made on this floor to have us remain here until we until we get our work done, I’m going to vote yes. I’m going to vote yes. I can tell you right now. And what is the work we need to get done?” he said.

“In no particular order, we need to pass the Russian sanctions bill. We need to pass the budget resolution, which will include election integrity. We need to confirm Todd Blanche. We need to pass the continuing resolution to keep government open until December the 11th. We need to get our business done, and then we can go on about our business. I’m not saying that people go home in August and just lie around the pool. I know that. I don’t. You don’t,” Kennedy said.

“We go back. We meet with constituents. Some people are running for, for, for, for re-election. I’m going to. I’m planning on being in all the battleground states, and I’m anxious to get there to help my colleagues. But we got to stay here and get our business done,” the Louisiana senator went on to say, concluding his remarks on the Senate floor.
