WATCH: Sen. Fetterman Again Brings the Heat and Scorches AOC on Live TV

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) sharply criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after her Munich Security Conference remarks, accusing U.S. aid to Israel of enabling a “genocide” in Gaza. Blasting her absurd remarks, he described her views as part of the “serious rot within parts of my party.”

Experts like Danny Orbach and Tom Gross pushed back, noting Israel’s extensive efforts to protect civilians and calling AOC’s claims ignorant and antisemitic. This is just one part of an ongoing conflict between moderate Democrats and the party’s more moderate wing.

Reacting to AOC’s rant, Senator Fetterman stated, “I think that the most troubling thing for her views is she is just, you know, anti-Israel. I mean, and those views, and, you know, so clueless to sit in Germany and accuse Israel of genocide while you’re sitting in Germany, and how ignorant that is.”

Additionally, he added more context on the internal struggle in his party, saying, “So I didn’t know. I didn’t really see where she kind of had her flub, but the views that I have heard of her specifically anti-Israel, and that’s really part of the serious rot within parts of my party.”

In response to the clip, a viral post called out the clear civil war within the DNC. “WHOA. Democrats are TURNING ON each other. AOC just got CALLED OUT by Sen. John Fetterman on LIVE TV over her humiliating speech in Munich,” the post read.

For context, speaking out about the Leahy Laws, which prohibit the US from funding “foreign security force units when there is credible information that the unit has committed a gross violation of human rights,” AOC began her absurd rant.

“To me, this isn’t just about a presidential election. Personally, I think that the United States has an obligation to uphold its own laws, particularly the Leahy laws,” the squad member alleged in her absurd screed.

Still not done, she added, “And I think that personally, the idea of completely unconditional aid, no matter what one does, does not make sense. I think it enable a genocide in Gaza, and I think that we have thousands of women and children dead that don’t, that was completely avoidable.”

Reacting, Danny Orbach, a military historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, contested her remarks. “The evidence shows the opposite … Israel undertook unprecedented measures to mitigate civilian harm, including establishing humanitarian safe zones that independently verified data show were approximately six times safer than other areas of Gaza,” he said, adding that the IDF gave “detailed advance warnings before strikes.”

Similarly, Tom Gross, an international affairs expert, declared, “AOC has flown all the way to Munich — infamous as the city in which Hitler staged his Nazi Beer Hall Putsch that marked the beginning of the Holocaust — in order to smear the Jewish people further with a phony genocide allegation.”

Concluding his condemnation of the Democrat, the impassioned expert noted her bigotry, saying, “Such preposterous allegations of ‘genocide’ form the bedrock of modern antisemitic incitement against Jews in the US and globally.”
