WATCH: Schumer Goes Ballistic after Trump Pushed DOJ Toward Prosecuting Lawbreaking Democrat

In another explosive outburst from the left over the news that it could be held accountable for breaking the law in case after case, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appeared on CNN and went absolutely ballistic over the idea that members of his party, such as Letitia James, could be investigated by the DOJ for their alleged lawbreaking.

In fact, when speaking about the matter during a Sunday, September 21, appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” program, Sen. Schumer explained that, in his view, President Donald Trump’s efforts to call out Attorney General Pam Bondi and pressure her into taking a harder line with lawbreaking Democrats is the “path to a dictatorship.”

As background, the president said, in a post on Truth Social, “Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.'”

He added, commenting on how a RINO US Attorney was almost installed at her direction, “Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That’s why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many lawyers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey Halligan is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President DJT”

Schumer totally freaked out over that, declaring it a war on “democracy” pushed by the president. His hysterics came when host Dana Bash asked, “You are the top-ranking Democrat in the U.S. Senate. What is your reaction to the president’s new pressuring of his top Justice Department official? And what can you do about it?”

Responding, Schumer explained, “I think it’s a real threat to democracy, Dana, you know, the Justice Department has always been a very, very strong civil service, no matter who was in charge, a Democrat or Republican. They went after law violators without fear or favor. What Trump is doing is he’s turning it.”

Continuing, the far-left senator insisted, “He’s firing anybody who doesn’t seem to be part of his acolytes. And he’s turning it into an instrument that goes after his enemies, whether they’re guilty or not. And most of them are not guilty at all. And that helps his friends. This is the path to a dictatorship. That’s what dictatorships do. It is so very, very frightening and damaging to our republic.”

Concluding, Schumer declared that Trump’s effort to go after lawbreakers is a war on “our democracy” and that enforcing the law will be an attack on “rule of law,” saying, “This is our rule of law. This is fundamental to our democracy, and we cannot let it stand. And my belief is democrats, republicans and independents, everybody will object to this because it’s so against what our democracy is all about.”
