Legendary rock and roll artist and hunter extraordinaire, Ted Nugent, made an appearance at a rally in Wichita, Kansas to show support for President Donald Trump and those he is endorsing for the midterm elections that are just a few weeks away. The crowd was stoked to see Nugent take the stage and speak a few words, showcasing that being a rocker and a patriot go hand-in-hand.
When Nugent took the stage to raucous applause, he kicked off his speech by telling the crowd and the whole country how much he loved America. He then recounted some thoughts he had while hanging out in a tree stand to do some hunting earlier in the day in Michigan, where he hails from and where he was when Trump called him.
“America, you know how much I love real America. I was in a tree stand in the swamps of Michigan this morning. I got a call from President Trump, and he said, ‘Would you come to Kansas and raise some hell with me?’ So I got out of my tree stand. I don’t get out of my tree stand for nothing except freedom,” he told the crowd attending the rally.
He then praised the people of Kansas for being true music lovers and asked for the audience to give all the rally speakers some love and respect for being bold enough to stand up for their values, beliefs, and the principles of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution. “I rock and roll in Kansas. You people are real music lovers. I love you people. And let’s hear it for all the speakers. Kansas, you’ve got some real God family country shit kickers that will represent you,” Nugent said.
The “Motor City Madman” then spoke about how there is now a clear dividing line between Americans who love freedom and the radical left who is pushing an agenda that aligns closer with communism than capitalism and threatens the very fabric of our country. “You know the agenda. The agenda is clear. There’s a cutting line between we the people and communism now. Let’s vote. We the people,” Nugent continued.
“You heard the agenda. You know the agenda. The agenda is for people who put their heart and soul into being the best that they can be,” the rock legend added. He then stated that people will have to make sacrifices and take risks in order to be an asset to the movement seeking to preserve freedom in the United States.
He then goes on to discuss how his conservative values have led to him being labeled an extremist and a radical. “Make sacrifices and take risks to be in the asset column, I’m a radical. I’m extremist. I believe my life pivots upon God, family, country, constitution, the Bill of Rights, the 10 Commandments, the Golden Rule, work ethic, law and order, self-defense, private property rights,” he told the crowd.

“I know you people. You people deserve me. But you know what else I do in Kansas? I love the rock and roll. Who who doesn’t love the rock and roll?” he said, a clip of his speech coming to an end as the crowd enthusiastically expressed their desire to join Nugent in a little rock and roll fun. The midterm elections are to be held on November 3, 2026.
