In harrowing reporting from the recent LA riots, violent anti-ICE demonstrators threatened to kill a local journalist live on air. Despite claims from Democrats, who have sought to minimize the danger posed by these riots, footage continually reinforces Trump’s decision to call in the National Guard to pacify Los Angeles.
In relation to the same far-left demonstration, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Emiliano Garduno-Galvez, a Mexican illegal immigrant, for allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement during an anti-ICE protest.
In any case, a clip posted on June 7, 2025, featured an explanation of the threat from a local journalist. The reporter stated, “It has been shocking that just in the last hour, our own news nation correspondent Nancy Liu was on the ground there with Nate Fary, her photographer, as that crowd was surging, as she was reporting that protesters were threatening to kill her with a rock.”
The clip, which was posted by a prominent conservative influencer to X, formerly Twitter, was captioned with additional details. The post read, “As a journalist was reporting what was happening on the ground in LA, one of these rioters threatened to ‘kill her with a rock.'”
As we reported, during the same riots, Emiliano Garduno-Galvez, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was arrested for throwing explosives at ICE agents. Reacting to the case, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin declared, “Emiliano Garduno-Galvez is a criminal illegal alien from Mexico who threatened the lives of federal law enforcement officers by attacking them with a Molotov cocktail during the violent riots in Los Angeles. ICE arrested Garduno-Galvez, and he is now being charged with attempted murder.
Concluding her statement, she added, “These are the types of criminal illegal aliens that rioters are fighting to protect. The Los Angeles rioters will not stop us or slow us down. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
In their own post to X, the official account for ICE said, “#ICYMI It turns out that Emiliano Garduno-Galvez — the Mexican national charged with attempted murder after throwing a Molotov cocktail at federal officers during the violent riots in Los Angeles — already had a criminal record.Last year, he was arrested twice by local police in California: ➡️Anaheim police | GRAND THEFT ➡️Long Beach police | DUI WE ALREADY DEPORTED HIM ONCE.”

Adding their reaction to the arrest, the Department of Homeland Security posted, “On June 9, 2025, ICE agents in Los Angeles arrested Emiliano Garduno-Galvez—an illegal alien from Mexico—for attempted murder after he threw a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement during the Los Angeles riots.”

Concluding the condemnation, DHS stated, “Garduno-Galvez had previously been deported. He has a previous criminal record: In 2024, Garduno-Galvez was arrested by the Anaheim Police Department for grand theft and by the Long Beach Police Department for a DUI. These are the types of criminal illegal aliens that rioters are fighting to protect.”
