Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Ric Grenell just sat down for an interview on Newsmax and, during his interview appearance, called on Republican presidential candidates to drop out of the race and endorse former President Donald Trump now that he’s been indicted by DA Alvin Bragg.
That came when Grenell joined Rob Schmitt Tonight and called on both Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy to withdraw from the 2024 race and throw their support behind Trump while also calling on other Republicans considering running to not do so and instead help Trump fight the Deep State’s tyranny.
Addressing any Newsmax viewer “who has been maybe a DeSantis supporter or a Nikki Haley supporter or a Vivek supporter,” Grenell went on to say:
“Look, I think that it’s really important to understand what Democrats are doing to Republicans. And you’re naive to think that this is just about Donald Trump. This is about every single Republican; anyone who challenges the power of the Democrats. And so I think… all the other Republican candidates should drop out tonight. They should announce their support for Donald Trump. We should unify as a party and say we are not going to allow this to happen to the United States of America.
“I think for the people who maybe have been on the fence about Trump, maybe they don’t like mean tweets or something, I think they have to understand that you have to stop asking Donald Trump to be a nice guy because nice guys are what the Democrats want. They want us as Republicans to take this high road and they don’t want a fighter. They don’t want someone who is going to come in and change the system. So they keep calling for someone presidential or something and I think they’ve got to stop.”
He then added that now every former president will be indicted, saying, “I am somebody who wants to feel this moment and understand what’s happening, and I think the Democrats have forever changed our political system, sadly. I fear that every president now, former president, is going to be indicted.”

Trump has taken to Truth Social to slam Bragg and the indictment. Last night, he skewered the DA’s office for leaking the charges he’s facing, saying:
“Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me. I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED. Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF. He will go down in Judicial history, and his Trump Hating wife will be, I am sure, very proud of him!”
He also said, “D.A. BRAGG JUST ILLEGALLY LEAKED THE 33 points of Indictment. There are no changes or surprises from those he leaked days ago directly out of the Grand Jury. No Crime by Trump. What a MESS. Bragg should resign, NOW!“
