Appearing at the theatrically named “New York is Not For Sale” rally in Queens, Gov. Kathy Hochul faced hecklers chanting “tax the rich” and correcting her pronunciation of Mamdani’s name while giving her endorsement to socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.
Other far-left Democrats, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, encouraged Mamdani to stay vigilant in the 2026 midterms. Ironically, AOC condemned Andrew Cuomo’s “bygone” establishment in her comments.
In any case, one conservative on social media commented on the embarrassing clip, describing what happened and how much of a disaster it was. “Wow this is rough. Gov Kathy Hochul is speaking the Zohran rally. She’s listing examples of Trump admin overreach in NY and the crowd is heckling her loudly, chanting, “do something, you’re the governor.” Taking forever for her to get through her speech,” the post read.
Following up, the same user expressed embarrassment at Hochul’s stumbling endorsement, saying, “Hochul pronounced ‘Mamdani’ wrong and now the crowd is yelling it back at her. Brutal. She can’t get a word out. Huge chants of ‘tax the rich’ at her, as well. She finally broke down and just said, “I can hear you.”
That was indeed the case, with the rally being an absolute disaster for Hochul. During her awkward comments, Gov. Kathy Hochul started off with tired TDS.”Right now, our city and our state and our country are under attack by Donald Trump and our Republicans in Washington,” she asserted without any supporting evidence.
Following up, she noted, “They’re literally not just taking a wrecking ball to the White House, they are taking a wrecking ball to our values, our people, our progress.” However, the crowd began to turn on the unpopular Democrat. As she faced boos and jeers, Hochul said, “Oh, you’re fired up, you’re fired up…Alright. I can hear you…You want to see Zohran or not?”
Far-left independent Sen. Bernie Sanders received a warmer response. He began by saying, “Let me conclude by saying this, and I say this again, as somebody who became mayor of Burlington and Vermont in 1981 by winning that election by 10 votes after Rico. Now, I have looked at the polls here in New York. You have seen it, and the polls suggests that Zohran is in the lead, and that is great.”

Wrapping up his comments, the senator urged, “But please, please, please, do not underestimate our opponents. They have a huge amount of money, and they are spending it right now. So I urge you forget about the polls. Go into the last eight days of this election, assuming that you are five points behind.”
Watch the clip here:
Squad member and irritating woke politician, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, gave a typically annoying speech. “In nine short days, we will work our hearts out to elect Zohran Kwame Mamdani as the next mayor of the great city of New York,” she noted
Still not done, she said, “It is also not a coincidence that the very forces Zohran is up against in this race mirror what we are up against nationally … both an authoritarian criminal presidency fueled by corruption and bigotry and an ascendant right-wing extremist movement. And this time, an insufficient eroded bygone political establishment in the form of Andrew Cuomo.”
