The massive and chaotic “No Kings” protests came back for another round on Saturday, March 28, and were characterized primarily by utter nonsense, from ridiculous posters and absurd speakers to meme-worthy collections of typically ragged-looking leftist protesters and the usual assortment of communist banners and connections that sadly accompany leftist protests.
But there was more than just that. There were also undertones and open expressions of very serious and quite threatening leftist thought and actions, both generally and specifically. For example, a Breitbart News reporter had his life threatened by one of the radical leftist protesters at a “No Kings” event in Pennsylvania.
That was Matthew Perdie, who is a video producer for Breitbart News. As shown in video of the incident that emerged, Mr. Perdie, who was covering a “No Kings” rally in the town of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, was shoved and threatened with death after trying to speak to one of the protesters, an elderly individual, about the event. The individual who made the death threat was a third person who interposed himself between Mr. Perdie and the elderly protester to whom he attempted to speak.
As shown in the video, the death threat incident began when Mr. Perdie approached the woman, whose protest poster included the text “Hands Off!” in very large letters, and then, beneath that, a bizarre and bewildering array of issues and programs related to various leftist causes. As can be glimpsed on the video, those included: “Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Immigrants, Free Speech, Our Bodies, LGBTQ+ Rights.”
In any case, the video shows that Mr. Perdie approached the woman and asked her, “What was that about?” That is when a man approached Mr. Perdie and, bizarrely, started blowing a whistle in his face. As the third party kept blowing the whistle, he also pulled the woman backward and away from Mr. Perdie.
He then approached the Breitbart reporter, walking directly into him. Mr. Perdie, responding, snapped, “You just checked me.” The woman he originally approached, a termagant if ever there was one, finally chimed in, doing so by starting to shriek. She screamed, “Go away a**hole!”
That is when yet another individual entered the picture. That was a second leftist man, this one wearing a yellow safety vest, for unclear reasons. The safety vest-bedecked individual approached Mr. Perdie, who told him, “Hey she just checked me.”

He then added, as the whistle-blower kept blowing the whistle in his face, “Now you’re touching me.” That is when the death threat came, as the man responded not as a normal person would, by apologizing for the unwanted contact, but by threatening to kill the Breitbart reporter. He said, “I am and I will f*cking kill you.”

There was other threatened violence at the protest as well. For example, Mr. Perdie noted, as Breitbart News reported, that some of the signs threatened violence. One, for example, displayed the message “86 47”. “86” is code for “assassinate”, and “47” is code for President Trump, the 47th president.
