Things went wild at a Trump rally in the small town of Conway, South Carolina, on Saturday, February 10. During the rally, a group of protesters caused enough of a disturbance that the police intervened to escort them out, at which point the overwhelmingly pro-Trump crowd went wild and showered them with booing and an FJB chant.
Fortunately, the pro-Trump broadcasting channel Right Side Broadcasting, known for streaming Trump’s rallies live, captured video of the incident. In the clip that emerged, the protesters can be heard indistinctly shouting something at the former president as he gave his speech to the huge crowd of supporters at Coastal Carolina University.
Then, police responded to that disturbance and escorted out the protesters. In the video, the RSBN camera caught the crowd reaction to the protesters, but was unable to capture individual footage of the protesters being escorted out, as they were in multiple sections of the audience. Further, what they were saying is unclear and could only be briefly heard.
The reason for their protests being indistinct wasn’t just that the rally was large and that they were quickly escorted out by the cops. Rather, their anti-Trump slogans were quickly drowned out by jeering and booing from the massive crowd of Trump supporters. That crowd soon broke into a deafening “f*** Joe Biden” chant as well and rained it down on the protesters.
Trump, for his part, seemed to enjoy the crowd’s reaction to the protesters. After remaining silent while the protesters were escorted out and the crowd jeered and chanted at them, Trump got the speech going again by saying, “Alright, thank you very much. Just a little interlude.”
Then, as the crowd quieted to listen again, Trump noted that the protests at his rallies used to be much more frequent. He said, referring to the interruption from the protesters, “You know that used to happen all the time, now it doesn’t happen too much.”
Watch the incident here:
Continuing, he referred to an incident in which he got sued for telling the crowd to “get” the protesters, so now he jokes about treating the protesters “kindly,” telling them to “go home to mom.” He said, “You know, I used to say to people, you go get them. You go get them. And then I got sued. So I said, what the hell? So now I say, please treat them kindly. This way. I don’t get it. Please treat them kindly. They’re lovely people. Go home to mom.”
He then went on to comment on Biden’s mental health, referring to the recent special counsel report, which claimed Biden has serious memory issues. Trump said, “But we know that Joe Biden has always been too mentally incompetent — Is he gone? I think he’s gone. We don’t have that — remember, we used to have it all the time? And I used to get angry with the camera because they never show the crow.”
