A black woman who went viral on social media for flaunting her ability to use an EBT card (food stamps) at a Popeye’s restaurant decided to see just how many local fast-food joints would accept her benefits and got a number of meals paid for courtesy of U.S. taxpayers. And, of course, she recorded the whole thing, all while driving around in a new Cadillac and freshly manicured nails.
The latest video, shared by the I Meme Therefore I Am account, starts off with the woman outside of a Jack in the Box. “I heard you can use your food stamps at Jack in the Box, so I had to come see,” she says at the start of the clip. She then pulls into the drive-thru and asks the person working the window, “Do you guys accept EBT here?”
The person answers in the affirmative. She tells the worker her order and then tells viewers, “As y’all can see, I’m paying with the EBT card.” The video shows her putting her card in the payment device at the window where she is provided with an option to use EBT to cover the cost of her meal. She puts in her PIN number and the transaction is approved. She then flaunts her meal in front of the camera.
She didn’t stop with Jack in the Box. The video then cuts to her entering a Subway restaurant where she repeats the process. “Again, there’s no separate menu, of course not,” she says as she stands in line to make her order. “She’s preparing the sub, to get y’all to act dub,” the woman says, though it’s not clear exactly what was meant by what was said.
“It’s time to pay with that EBT. Y’all see E-B-T,” she again points out the option to use her food stamp benefits to pay for a fast-food meal. “Y’all see it’s time to pay. Time to pay. So it’s $31. Dang, 31 must be my number, because y’all talk so much. Food stamp sale accepting, receiving, approved. Yes, connect my receipt,” she says completing the Subway transaction.
“Now just go get y’all some,” the woman tells viewers, encouraging them to hit up restaurants and pay for their meals with taxpayer-funded benefits. “Don’t be mad at me. There go my receipt,” she says. The video cuts away to the woman pulling into a McDonald’s that features a sign saying they accept EBT payments. “The sign says they accept EBT, so let’s go see,” she says.
The woman points out once again that there is no separate item menu for those who are using an EBT card to pay for their meal. She then brags that she bought a lot of food, noting that the order was so large they had to put in a DoorDash bag. “But you can most definitely buy food stamps. I mean, McDonald’s with your food stamps. So there’s not a set menu as to what you can get on EBT. That everything is regular price. Nothing is double. Only thing different, y’all, is you using your EBT,” she says as the video concludes.

The comment section on the video was lively to say the least. One user wrote, “Freshly done nails and a new Cadillac.” Someone else said, “Meanwhile seniors can’t afford fast food , families can’t afford fast food because our money is being stolen by the IRS and given to lazy a** grifters and foreigners!” Another called for the EBT cards to no longer be allowed for fast-food purchases, saying, “Food stamps (EBT) should have NEVER been allowed to be used for fast food in the first place. THIS NEEDS TO END !!”
