WATCH: Obama-Era Deep State Hack Freaks Out about Trump’s Big DC Move

Speaking in a breathless interview on CNN’s “News Central,” former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe went berserk over the idea that President Trump has put the DC metro police force under federal control so that it can be used to clean up crime in the city, insisting that such a move is a sort of tyranny that will permanently harm Americans.

As background, President Trump declared on Monday, August 11, the same day as McCabe’s interview on CNN, that he would be liberating DC residents from the crime problem that has oppressed them for so long by unleashing the now-federally controlled police force on criminal elements in the city. The move was sparked by a mob of “teens” assaulting a DOGE staffer.

Posting on his Truth Social platform about the matter, the president said, “Washington, D.C. will be LIBERATED today! Crime, Savagery, Filth, and Scum will DISAPPEAR. I will, MAKE OUR CAPITAL GREAT AGAIN! The days of ruthlessly killing, or hurting, innocent people, are OVER! I quickly fixed the Border (ZERO ILLEGALS in last 3 months!), D.C. is next!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

In any case, McCabe went absolutely berserk about the matter during his CNN appearance. Beginning, he wondered why DC officials don’t care about this, ignoring that perhaps they just want the crime to end. He said, “There’s a lot that worries me about this. You know, first of all, the it’s hard to explain the lack of pushback by D.C. authorities right now. I would suspect they’re probably trying to get their heads around this entire thing. It’s absolutely so bizarre.”

Continuing, McCabe got very angry about the idea that the FBI will be involved in cracking down on federal crimes, despite that being its purpose, saying, “You are now looking at things like having hundreds of FBI agents, quote, unquote, patrol the streets of D.C., this is not something that FBI agents do. They’re not trained for it. They don’t plan on that. They don’t have that sort of legal authority intrinsically.”

Then, ignoring that all of DC is technically federal territory, McCabe kept losing it over the idea that the FBI is going after violent criminals, saying, “So to understand exactly how FBI agents are going to start making arrests around D.C., again on areas that are not federal property, that is not something that has been worked out in any way.”

Still not done, McCave then insisted that various other things are more important than wrangling crime affecting ordinary people under control, saying, “Now let’s think about the opportunity cost, all of those counterterrorism cases, counterintelligence cases, criminal cases, crimes against children, all the things that we rely on, FBI agents to protect us from every day that work is not getting done because you’ve taken that resource, some percentage of it, and shifted it to patrolling D.C.”

Concluding, he again insisted that the FBI can’t deal with crime, saying, “which is something that the FBI does not do and really cannot do in its current state, competently or safely for themselves or for the citizens of the District. So really questionable decisions here that will have major impacts on the safety and security of this country.”
