WATCH: Notorious RINO Whines, Attacks Trump after Losing By Almost 20 Points to MAGA Rival in Crushing Primary Defeat

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) is about to be a senator no more, as he lost his primary battle in a crushing primary defeat to a MAGA challenger, Julia Letlow, who had been backed by President Donald Trump. Cassidy lost the race by no small margin, getting defeated by a whopping 20 points!

In fact, Letlow finished with around 44.8% of the vote and Senator Cassidy with around 24.7% of the vote, which put him in third place after John Fleming, who came in second with around 28 percent of the vote. Letlow and Fleming will now head to a run-off election over the summer, but Cassidy is out for good.

This is a major defeat not just because he got blown out of the water by a whopping 20 points, but because it is the first time since 2012 that an incumbent Republican Senator has lost a primary election, showing just how upset American voters are with RINOs like Cassidy who betray them at every turn. Sen. Cassidy was particularly notorious for being against the Make America Healthy Again movement.

After details of Cassidy’s defeat came out, President Trump reacted triumphantly on his Truth Social platform, saying, “Bill Cassidy, after falsely using his “relationship” with me during his political career, and winning Elections because of it, voted to impeach me on preposterous charges that were fake then, and now, are criminally insane! His disloyalty to the man who got him elected is now a part of legend, and it’s nice to see that his political career is OVER! I’d like to thank the Great People of the State of Louisiana, and this Big Victory will only make me work even harder for your success, and all that comes with it. I LOVE YOU ALL. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! ”

And, praising Letlow, the president said, “Congratulations to Congresswoman Julia Letlow on a fantastic race, beating an Incumbent Senator by Record Setting Numbers. This is the first time in History that a sitting Senator has lost by such large numbers in a Primary, unable to even go forward. Julia Letlow is a fantastic person and, after taking care of some additional business, will make a brilliant Senator for the Great People of Louisiana, a State that I love, helped make prosperous with my Energy Policies and everything else, and won six times in a row, including Primaries. Julia Letlow is a spectacular person, and will never let you down!”

Senator Cassidy, for his part, freaked out about the defeat in a speech he gave at around 10 pm local time in Boudreaux’s Catering in Baton Rouge, a speech during which he attacked President Trump but grudgingly noted that he had conceded to both Letlow and Fleming. “This is not the result I necessarily wanted,” Sen. Cassidy admitted.

Then, snapping about Trump’s reaction to the 2020 election in a bizarre moment during his concession speech, he said, “When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to. But you don’t pout. You don’t whine. You don’t claim the election was stolen.” Watch him lose it here:

Given that his focus during his defeat was on how bad he thinks the president is, it’s obvious why he lost. In fact, going in to the primary election, only a miserable 26 percent of Republican primary voters had a favorable opinion of Cassidy, and a massive 62 percent held an unfavorable view of him. And so now he is gone.
