WATCH: MSNBC Personality Started “Literally Sobbing” Live on Air Over Big Trump Win

In an embarrassing election night meltdown, Claire McCaskill, a former Missouri senator and MSNBC contributor, broke down in tears while covering the 2024 election. In her tearful rant, McCaskill said that despite her poor performance in the election, Kamala Harris displayed “political skill” in her failed bid for the Whitehouse.

For context, Kamala Harris served as Joe Biden’s VP before she was thrust into a presidential campaign due to Biden’s declining health and poor performance against Donald Trump. Harris was unpopular even before her race, and a series of high-profile gaffes came to define her short and unsuccessful candidacy.

However, the far-left ideologue Claire McCaskill saw the events differently. While covering he election on November 4, 2024 she tearfully said, “I mean, this is really hard stuff for her to be selected as vice president after what I think she would tell you was a very disappointing presidential race where I think she kind of lost her footing and was listening too much to consultants, frankly, and wasn’t it didn’t really exude who she was.”

Continuing her emotional rant, the MSNBC personality melted down while praising Harris for her supposedly flawless campaign. She stated, “And then to be vice president and to step into the most difficult situation in the world, where she had to be completely loyal to Joe Biden and respectful of the fact that he had chosen her, but yet maneuver in a situation. I mean, such political skill, it is just inspiring people who don’t understand what she had to do to get to this moment. And so I’m just very proud of her.”

When a clip of the segment was posted to X two days later, conservatives pounced on the weepy Democrat for her emotional breakdown. One of the comments questioned why McCaskill was so surprised by Harris’s loss, saying, “We COMPLETELY understand what Kamala had to do to get to this moment. Decent people everywhere understand what she did.

Building off that point, other users questioned if Harris worked hard for her nomination. One such comment read, “We don’t understand “what she had to do”? She had everything handed to her with putting in almost no effort. She agreed with Joe freely and willingly remained on the ticket and lied to the world that Joe was “fine”. She was counting on him croaking and then she could be president by default.”

Laughing at the public freak-out, several commentators from Missouri expressed their disdain for the former senator. One of many comments declared, “As a Missourian, I give thanks everytime I see Claire that she is gone and gone forever. A Horrible politician grifter of the highest order, she represents all the worst of dem progressive politics. Her sort of evil need banished.” Another added, “I clicked on that just to see her cry. As the Missouri resident that I am, I couldn’t stop laughing.”

Rounding out the comments, many republicans laughed at the performative crying. One user joked, “Put this is a syringe and inject this in my veins.” Agreeing, one response said, “OK, I don’t like most of these “drink liberal tears” stuff, but you gotta make an exception here.” such political skill…it’s inspiring” 😂🤣😂🤣.”
