WATCH: MSNBC Personality Has Utter Meltdown Over Trump Cabinet Pick

In a Thursday, November 21 appearance on MSNBC’s “The Beat With Ari Melber” that was as unintentionally funny as it was hysteric, political scientist Jason Johnson went berserk freaking about  President-elect Donald Trump’s new choice for U.S. Attorney General, reportedly savvy legal operator Pam Bondi.

Johnson, in his commentary, particularly focused on how Bondi has a background in immigration enforcement and similar issue areas, something that will likely, given the upcoming administration’s focus on immigration, likely make her a “dangerous and effective pick” in her new role as Attorney General.

Beginning the hysteric commentary on Bondi and what the Democratic Party’s reaction to her appointment should be, Johson declared that Bondi is “competent” and thus dangerous, saying, “Pam Bondi is exactly what I was saying in the last segment that we should all fear because she’s competent.”

Continuing, Johnson said that the fact that Bondi is competent and experienced is a bad thing for Democrats, saying, “We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job. So if anyone on the Democratic side or anyone who cared about liberty or justice was thinking, ‘well, maybe Matt Gaetz will screw this up and that’ll give us some time.'”

Noting that Florida has, given its position, given Bondi a great deal of experience in defending anti-immigration moves, saying, “She knows what she’s doing about immigration. Remember, Florida is one of those states that’s been very aggressive about migrants and deportation and moving people to different states and everything else like that.”

Johnson further added, noting another area of concern for the upcoming Trump administration in which Bondi is experienced and thus dangerous, “Florida has enacted all sorts of rules and laws to curtail students and what they can do on campuses and finding legal justifications for manipulating education money.”

Concluding, Johnson claimed that Bondi will me even more dangerous than Gaetz given her competence, breathlessly telling MSNBC, “She is a dangerous and effective pick and that’s, frankly, worse than what we would have got with Matt Gaetz, even with the deplorable moral background that he has.” Watch Johnson here:

Trump, announcing his appointment of Bondi, said, “I am proud to announce former Attorney General of the Great State of Florida, Pam Bondi, as our next Attorney General of the United States. Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she was very tough on Violent Criminals, and made the streets safe for Florida Families. Then, as Florida’s first female Attorney General, she worked to stop the trafficking of deadly drugs, and reduce the tragedy of Fentanyl Overdose Deaths, which have destroyed many families across our Country. She did such an incredible job, that I asked her to serve on our Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission during my first Term — We saved many lives!”

He continued, “For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans – Not anymore. Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again. I have known Pam for many years — She is smart and tough, and is an AMERICA FIRST Fighter, who will do a terrific job as Attorney General!”
