As of recently, the mainstream media has been panicking about Trump’s intentions to retake the White House and undergo a profound reorganization of the federal government as we know it. MSNBC recently lamented the potential for Trump to select the former chief of staff in the Department of Defense during Trump’s first term, Kash Patel, as Attorney General should he be reeelected.
Patel, who also served as Trump’s counterterrorism adviser on the National Security Council, has been a staunch advocate of holding government and media members accountable for their conduct in recent years. Patel recently told Steve Bannon, “We will go out and find the conspirators not just in government, but in the media.”
“What jumped out as potentially the most alarming detail was that within the actual Trump campaign, the person who’s named is being floated to be Trump’s Attorney General of the United States to run the Justice Department is this guy,” said MSNBC host Alex Wagner, referencing Patel.
The segment of “Alex Wagner Tonight” proceeded to play a clip of Kash Patel speaking to Steve Bannon about the agenda of another Trump administration. The former Trump official noted that these “conspirators” would be put “on notice.”
“We will go out and find the conspirators not just in government but in the media. Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media, who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections. We’re going to come after you whether it’s criminally or civilly. We’ll figure that out. But yeah, we’re putting you all on notice,” Patel said.
The left-leaning MSNBC further alleged Trump will seek to “weaponize the DOJ” to punish his political adversaries. Wagner cited the former president’s comments toward the members of the J6 Committee as evidence of this claim.
“Now, Trump has not been shy about his desire to weaponize the DOJ and use it to go after his enemies and we should probably take him at his word about that. I do think he is serious, but don’t just take it from me. Last month, Trump announced that all of the January 6 committee members should go to jail,” said Wagner. See a clip of the segment below:
“So the danger here is apparently very real. And the Biden administration is doing something about it. Right before Trump’s potential future Attorney General Kash Patel told Steve Bannon that he would use the government to go after Trump’s enemies, Patl laid out what he thinks would need to happen within the government to empower him he’d have to clean house,” the host further lamented.
Patel explained that Republicans have the “bench” necessary to step into the White House and install “all American patriots” in the federal government and attack the bureaucratic state that holds power over millions of citizens.
“Yes, we got the bench for abandoned and you know those guys I’m not gonna go out there and say their names right now. So radical left wing media can terrorize them. But excuse me, the one thing we learned in the Trump administration the first go round, is we got to put in all American patriots top to bottom,” the potential AG pick told Bannon.
