WATCH: Michelle Obama Trashes All of America In Bizarre Rant Defending Kamala Harris

Things got bonkers when former First Lady Michelle Obama spoke to a crowd of women at the Brooklyn Academy of Music while attempting to promote her new book, “The Look,” as the former first lady turned the speech into a harangue in which she lambasted America and Americans for not being forward-thinking enough about gender roles and the White House.

Making those comments in a speech delivered on Friday, November 14, the former first lady attacked the country that has given her so much and praised her frequently and fawningly while she was in the White House during her attempts to defend and promote failed 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Doing so, the former first lady claimed that Kamala lost not because she is a terrible candidate, which is what actually happened, but because America “ain’t ready” for a female president guiding the nation’s future. She insisted, “As we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready.”

Adding to that, she insisted that America was “lying” in saying that it was ready for a female presidency, as that was obviously not the case and Americans were “lying” in claiming that they were. She insisted, in her airing of grievances, “That’s why I’m like, don’t even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman. You are not,”

Still not done with her angry rant about a female presidency, which at least could mean that she won’t be running, Michelle Obama insisted that it is men who are uncomfortable with the idea, saying, “You know, we’ve got a lot of growing up to do, and there’s still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it.”

For reference, the book that Michelle was trying to promote is about her sense of style in the White House. As the The Look‘s description provides, “In this celebration of style, from the moment she entered the public eye during her husband’s U.S. Senate campaign through her time as the first Black First Lady and today as one of this country’s most influential figures, Michelle Obama shares how she uses the beauty and intrigue of fashion to draw attention to her message.”

The description adds, “Featuring the voices of Meredith Koop, Obama’s trusted stylist, as well as her makeup artist Carl Ray, hairstylists Yene Damtew, Johnny Wright, and Njeri Radway, and many of the designers who have dressed Obama for notable events, The Look brings readers behind the scenes not only to reveal how her most memorable looks came together but also to tell a powerful story about how we present ourselves.”

Posting about the book over the summer, she said, “During our family’s time in the White House, the way I looked was constantly being dissected — what I wore, how my hair was styled. For a while now, I’ve been wanting to reclaim more of that story, to share it in my own way. I’m thankful to be at a stage in life where I feel comfortable expressing myself freely — wearing what I love and doing what feels true to me. And I’m excited to share some of what I’ve learned along the way,”
