Melania Trump recently made headlines for her appearance at a Mar-a-Lago event for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Footage of the event shows Donald Trump entering the venue, shaking hands with attendees while Roy Orbison’s 1964 hit “Pretty Woman” played.
The former first lady enters the reception behind her husband, where Prime Minister Orbán presents her with a large bouquet of flowers. X account FLOTUS uploaded a clip of the interaction with the caption, “The Prime Minister of Hungary. @PM_ViktorOrban, gifts Melania Trump with a beautiful bouquet of flowers tonight at Mar-a-Lago.”
Users on social media praised Melania for her elegant appearance, noting the former first lady’s beauty and the kind gesture from Orbán. One user commented, “Perfect song- pretty woman,” noting the fitting choice in music. “Beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady, both inside and out,” another person wrote about Melania.
“Have you considered..(I have) that our Melania Trump does not have to genuflect to any leader of any country. She is a self assured woman who knows her value and is intelligent enough to stand her ground. She is the best representative we have had in many years,” one person wrote, highlighting the power of Melania’s presence.
According to reports, Trump and Orbán, who have maintained a strong allyship in recent years, met at the event to discuss a “wide range of issues” impacting Hungary and the United States. Allegedly, the two discussed the importance of securing national borders to maintain sovereignty.
The Hungarian Prime Minister has garnered a negative reputation among leftist leaders around the world for his apprehension toward mass migration into his country. Moreover, Orbán elected not to visit with Joe Biden during his trip to the United States, drawing criticism from the president.
Reports from late last year indicate that the former first lady will be making more appearances on the campaign trail as we draw nearer to the presidential election later this year. When asked by a reporter about her making more public appearances, she responded, “Stay tuned.”
Former President Donald Trump noted that his wife tends to be a relatively private individual who prefers to avoid the limelight despite her extensive career in modeling. Trump said. “It’s funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results.” He continued, “She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country.” He also said, “Melania is a brilliant person. Her life revolves around Barron and the success of our country.”
Trump added that Melania is dedicated to her family and country, stating, “Her life revolves around that boy. It’s so important to her.” … “At the same time, it also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She’s raised a lot of money for charity. She’s a private person.”
The GOP frontrunner further emphasized Melania’s love for America and her desire serve her country. “And she loves the country. She’s going to be out a lot, but she does it for the good of the country, not for her. She’s somebody with a lot of confidence. She doesn’t need that,” he said.
