In some very unintentionally funny material out of Representative Maxinde waters (D-CA), she went off the deep end when attacking President Donald Trump for sending in the National Guard to stop the ongoing, violent riots in Los Angeles. Rep. Waters said stopping the rioters from attacking ICE agents was “cruel” and “dishonorable.”
That came when Rep. Waters appeared on CNN’s “Newsroom” show on Sunday, June 8, after President Trump tried to block the rioters from further attacks upon Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents by federalizing the California National Guard and sending it into Los Angeles to assist the police in fighting rioting mobs.
Commenting on that, Rep. Waters first freaked out about how the National Guard troopers were armed, as is typical, pretending there is no reason why they might want to be armed around violent, rock-throwing rioters. She said, “They will end up being used. I don’t know why we have guns. What are those guns for? Are they to shoot protesters?”
Continuing, she insisted that Trump was “cruel” and “dishonorable” because he would be ok with rioters being shot by the troopers, saying, “I mean, there’s no reason to be here with the National Guard. The President of the United States is a cruel, dishonorable human being who would just as soon they shoot somebody down.”
Concluding, the congresswoman went on to say that the troopers should be dissuaded from shooting rioters by legislators and other elected officials, snapping, “But I don’t want that to happen. I want the elected officials to do everything that we can to dissuade them.”
Chiming in after Rep. Waters finished her rant, CNN reporter Kyung Lah said, “Here’s the concern. It’s the cauldron that has been created today by the deployment of the National Guard, by how people are feeling about these ICE arrests that occurred on Friday, what that clash could mean today here on the streets of Los Angeles.”

Trump, for his part, unleashed the National Guard and DHS on the rioters in LA in order to “liberate” the city, saying, “A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals. Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations — But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve.:
He continued, in that post, “I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, in coordination with all other relevant Departments and Agencies, to take all such action necessary to liberate Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion, and put an end to these Migrant riots. Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
