WATCH: Maxine Waters Insists on Using the 25th Amendment to Remove Trump, “Something’s Wrong”

“Pot meet kettle” should have been the response given to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) as the notoriously absurd and imprudent representative, known best in many corners for messing with her wig live on TV, rambled about the supposed need to remove President Donald Trump from office through invoking the 25th Amendment.

Such is what came when the absurd representative let loose with her bonkers talking points during a Friday, August 29 appearance on  MSNBC’s “The Weeknight,” during which she demanded that the Trump Administration Cabinet officials invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from power.

For reference, it is section 4 of the 25th Amendment that deals with the involuntary removal of the president from power. It provides, “Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.” After that point, the legislature decides if the president can continue with his duties or not.

In any case, Waters began by insisting that the president’s attempts to remove a corrupt official from the Federal Reserve constitute such an unbelievable attack on the Constitution that he should be removed, saying, “This is flagrant. This is something that the president has decided to do be damned the Constitution of the United States, where an independent agency is under attack.”

Continuing, and rambling about interest rates while insisting that Trump was a dictator for not letting a bureaucrat get away with mortgage fraud, Rep. Waters snapped, “He wants to control the Fed. He wants to be able to determine interest rates. He wants to be able to have the people on the governing board that will do exactly as they are told. This is extraordinarily dangerous. This is the makings of a dictator who is trying to control the entire economy.”

Rep. Waters then went on to insist that, if the president gets his way and the corrupt official is removed from her role, “This stands to basically upend the entire economy.” Using that patently absurd claim to justify more dramatic action, she then said, “As far as I’m concerned, we have to move very aggressively.”

That’s when she got to insisting that his own cabinet should remove him, saying, “It is not about, you know, lingering and trying to think that maybe the courts will help us. I want, even though I know it may not happen, the cabinet that he’s appointed, a bunch of his sycophants who probably won’t do what I would recommend.”

She concluded, “It is time to call for Article 25 of the Constitution of the United States of America to determine his unfitness, to determine that something’s wrong with this president. I would suggest that we move very aggressively to talk about the danger to this country and to our democracy and not play around with this, because this is absolutely one of the most destructive things that this president could do.”
