Legendary actor Robert DeNiro of The Godfather Part II fame, recently made an appearance at a radical left-wing rally in New York where he took time to trash President Donald Trump and his administration’s efforts to clean up America’s voter rolls. The Focker-in-Law star wasn’t the only celebrity to show up at the event. Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo also delivered remarks during the “Hands Off Our Vote” rally.
Before delving into the main story, it’s critical to point out that the president has not taken any action that would stifle or silence the vote of an actual American citizen. In the United States, only those who have obtained full legal citizenship are allowed to cast a ballot in a federal election. Trump and his administration are trying to remove illegal aliens from the voter rolls in order to protect election integrity and prevent widespread fraud.
The “Hands Off Our Vote” rally was put together by an organization called Indivisible and Hands Off NYC. DeNiro led the crowd of agitators in repeated chants of “Keep your f—ing hands off our vote!” He also rattled off a bunch of false information about what the current administration is actually doing with voter rolls across the country.
According to a report from Breitbart, De Niro went on to claim that Trump was attempting to take the vote away from leftist Democrats. “When that coward, that f—-ing piece of s–t, Donald Trump tries to take our voice and power away, what do we tell him?” De Niro screeched, before adding his refrain, “Keep your f—ing hands off our vote!”
“Now with your commitment and support… we’re gonna send him away!” the Good Fellas star went on to add. “Take back the House! Yes! Take back the Senate! Yes! Take back the power! Yes! Take back our country! Yes!” The Breitbart report quickly dismantled the false claims being made by De Niro and those in league with him in his petty rivalry against President Trump.
The president is not taking away the right to vote from anyone who is a legal citizen. The administration has two major goals. The first one is to remove ineligible voters such as folks who have died or those who moved out of state and are not eligible to vote in the state they reside in, from voter rolls. The second goal is to remove illegal alien voters and noncitizens from voter rolls.
The Justice Department has already requested voter roll data from every state to crosscheck with voter rolls for noncitizens. In July 2026, the White House said that over a quarter of a million illegals voted in the last several elections. The DOJ is looking for ways to stop that activity. In fact, the DOJ has taken into custody 16 migrants who cast ballots illegally in U.S. elections.

One of the aliens lied and pretended to be a legitimate citizen in order to gain access to the ballot box. Many conservatives say that the reason actors like De Niro and Ruffalo are pushing so hard for illegals to be able to vote is because they know that America, as a whole, is shifting back to center right. This form of cheating might be the only way they take back congressional power.
Later in the evening, Ruffalo said, “This is a big, big deal, this election. There’s a lot hanging in the balance. And we all know that we’re gonna kick their a–es. But we all know their gonna steal it. They’re gonna do everything in their power. And it isn’t going to be over the night we all win. It’s going to take all of us after that, staying together, remaining hopeful, remaining strong.”
“They’re going to try and stop us from taking our country back, and we’re not going to let ’em! Trump, we’re not letting you! Hands off our f—ing vote! I’m gonna Hulk out. You won’t like me when I’m angry,” Ruffalo continued. He then said that Republicans were going to try and keep Democrats home in November, but said that such efforts wouldn’t be successful.
