WATCH: MAGA Roars with Applause for Trump in Kennedy Center as Leftists Loudly Boo

Things got crazy in Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center when President Donald Trump appeared alongside his gorgeously-attired and beautiful wife, First Lady Melania Trump, with MAGA fans in the audience roaring with applause for him as leftists in the crowd loudly booed. The incident occured on the night of Wednesday, June 11.

As background, the general situation is that the president has taken over the Kennedy Center since his election in an attempt to root out much of the wokeness that has long defined it, along with some alleged corruption. As could be expected, that has prompted a furious reaction from leftist affiliated with the Kennedy Center, particularly some of the artists involved in the Wednesday night production of Les Misérables.

So, it was somewhat unclear what situation President Trump was walking into when he appeared for the Wednesday night production. On one hand, the crowd and performers could be against him, but on the other, it was thought that those who were against him could just boycott it. So, for example, CNN analyst Brian Stelter incorrectly predicted that “we’re not going to be hearing boos tonight” and that the performance would be “a rousing celebration of Trump, as well as the Kennedy Center.”

That was only partially true. In the clips of the night’s festivities and chaos that have emerged, the audience had a decidedly mixed reaction to the presence of the President and First lady, with attendees at one point screaming “No!” and “Boo!” before the MAGA patriots in the crowd started chanting “USA! USA! USA! USA!”

Similarly, a video shows that, shortly after the conflicting chant and booing petered out, more chaos arose as indistinct shouting from someone in the audience of unclear poltical views started, which, in turn, became yelling from an apparent Trump supporter in the audience who yelled, “We love Trump!”

Adding to the general humor of the incident was that President Trump remained utterly unfazed by the shouting and chaos. Ignoring the booing and shouting with aplomb, he instead started pumping his fist and joining in the “USA! USA!” chanting from the Kennedy Center balcony.

Adding to the president’s entertaining actions at the Kennedy Center was an exchange he had with Fox News correspondent Gillian Turner after he arrived at the performance arts center, commenting on the riots in LA and managing to get in a good jab at Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom.

It began with Turner asking, “Mr. President, if this turns into another summer of unrest, what are you prepared to do, sir?” He said, not really playing along, “About what?” She then added some clarification, saying,  “If this turns– well, the protests have spread now to 16 cities across the U.S. If this turns–” Trump told her he doubts that will happen, saying, “Well, that’s what you’re saying. Do I believe you? I don’t think so.”

Turner, defending her position, said, “Well, I got that from the Fox News brain room.” Trump then took the opportunity to hammer the failed leadership in California, saying, “I can tell you, what we have, what we have a situation in Los Angeles that was caused by gross incompetence. They didn’t have the police to handle it.”

Then, concluding, he said, “The police were asking us to come in. They were very late. We had to go in to save a lot of ICE officers, as you know, who were held up. They were held up in a building and they were being attacked, and the military went in. The National Guard went in and got them.”
