Chicago activist Danielle Carter, who is associated with FlipChicagoRed, an America First group, posted a video where she was allegedly physically assaulted by 4th Ward Republican Committeeman Paul McKinney during a May 2025 public meeting on a migrant shelter at King Library.
Carter accuses the judiciary, specifically Judge Clarence Burch, of bias for allowing political questions in court, and notes “malfunctioning” library cameras. Counter-claims from left-leaning sources say Carter was the aggressor, starting the fight.
Announcing the information, a viral post read, “🚨BREAKING: Chicago activist Danielle Carter, who attended a meeting about a migrant shelter, was physically assaulted by RINO committeeman Paul McKinney. Thanks to eyewitness accounts, he was arrested and charged with battery and assault.”
Adding more context, the same source reveals the implications of the dramatic clip, saying, “RINOs and Democrats are clearly desperate to hold onto power—and they’ll do whatever it takes to keep the America First agenda out of their city.”
However, left-wing activists disputed the facts of the case. “This is a lie and I hope you retract this. SHE was the aggressor and I heard her bragging about attacking him as we crossed paths as I was going in. The jury trial starts soon and I’ll be testifying on Paul’s behalf. They went to start a fight and a fight is what they got,” claimed a local politician.
“I don’t give a sh*t if you are a rino or leftist you don’t get to strike out at someone unless you want to feel the consequences. Real conservatives know when it’s time to fight and time to debate this guy is just a rino nothing more,” responded an impassioned conservative.
Responding, the woman at the center of the scandal, Danielle Carter, posted, “Apparently, Judge Clarence Burch, who’s corrupt, believes it’s acceptable for a man like Paul McKinley to put his hands on a woman , because that’s exactly what happened today.”

She added, “Even with evidence, he allowed it to go unpunished. In court, I was questioned about whether I’m affiliated with @FlipChicagoRed, whether I support ICE, and if I make videos asking @realDonaldTrump to come here.”
“My lawyer objected, but the judge overruled. I asked what any of that had to do with the case, yet I was still pushed to answer,” she added, “This sends a dangerous message: that accountability is determined by political affiliation, not by truth, justice, or right and wrong. Magical the library cameras happened not to work that very day also.”

In another post, she claimed, “She’s not one of us ,she’s a RINO. She’s friends with and meets with Brandon Johnson. While we’re fighting against corruption, she’s working with it and getting paid by him. Her own people left because of it. She’s a Democrat who wants to continue the corruption,” adding, “@FlipChicagoRedis clear on our mission , we’re not friends with Brandon Johnson or his Democrat allies. We’re here to make a real change.”
