President Donald Trump met with New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in the Oval Office in a meeting that was characterized by the president managing to defang the self-described “democratic socialist” of a mayor with jokes and commentary, which sent Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) spiralling into a total meltdown when she appeared on Friday, November 21, on CNN’s “The Lead”.
Warren’s freakout was set off by host Jake Tapper, who kicked off the discussion by noting that President Trump had, before the meeting, taken a tough line with Democrats over a horrific video they put out calling for members of the military to disobey his orders, and set off journalists with comments that Tapper and other like liberal media personalities found offensive.
Tapper said, “President Trump, just in the last 24 hours, was suggesting the execution of six of your colleagues for just simply saying members of the military shouldn’t carry out illegal orders. He got mad at reporters for asking about MBS having ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist, criticized Khashoggi, said to a woman reporter just a few days before quiet piggy.”
Continuing, Tapper noted that Trump did a very good job seeming the gracious and imperturbable host when Mamdani visited the White House, saying, “As a senator that has to deal with this president one way or another, how do you how do you make sense of that, that that same guy was this very gracious host, laser-like, focused on affordability.”
Responding, Liz Warren had a total freakout in which she attacked the president for embracing affordability as an issue. Beginning her tirade, the woke senator said, “Well, you hit the last part and it‘s laser-like, focused on affordability. Donald Trump has a terrible problem with affordability.”
Continuing, she insisted that the president is “in trouble,” saying, “He promised he was going to reduce prices on day one. Prices are up across the board. He is in trouble. His poll numbers are dropping. People‘s confidence in his ability to handle the economy is dropping.”
Still not done, she went on to attack some of Trump’s policies, saying, “His tariffs are imposing more costs on more people. His energy policy is raising the cost of utilities across the country. He has a problem, and Zohran Mamdani is the person who is now associated with fixing that problem.”

The leftist senator further added that the president is trying to embrace the affordability issue and win back over young people by agreeing with Mamdani that it is an issue, saying, “So, is it any surprise that Donald Trump wants to stand next to Zohran Mamdani and say, ‘oh yeah, we think about things the same way, particularly when it comes to affordability.'”
Concluding, she angrily insisted that Trump is trying to steal Mamdani’s aura, saying, “He‘s just trying to take a little of the shine that Zohran Mamdani has and see if he can, you know, rub a little on Donald Trump.” Tapper responded by saying, “Yeah, embracing the avatar of affordability.”
