An eight-year-old boy with a rare brain disorder was recently moved to tears when he received a heartfelt letter from former President Donald Trump wishing him a happy birthday. The young boy, named Liam, could be seen sitting on the couch wearing a pro-Trump t-shirt that read “It’s A Donnie Thing,” before he opened a piece of mail addressed to him with the presidential seal on the package.

As Liam reads the letter, he is visibly in awe, realizing he just received a personal letter from his favorite president.  Amid his jaw-dropping reaction to the birthday letter, Liam is moved to joyful tears as he comprehends that Donald Trump just wished him a happy birthday.  Recording his reaction, Liam’s mother reads the contents of the note aloud.

She began, “It says, Dear Liam, Happy eighth birthday, Mrs. Trump and I hope you enjoy this special occasion, surrounded by the love of your family and friends. We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown throughout your young life, and send our love and best wishes to you as you continue to fight.”

The former president continued, offering a message of hope for young Liam.  “Remember you are never alone, and we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for continued health, for continued care and good health. May God bless you and your family, stay strong sincerely.” She said before asking her son, “Can you tell me who signed that?”

Liam responds, “Donald Trump!”  She asks, “What do you say to him?”  Liam emotionally says, “I love you … thank you.”  The footage of Liam’s joyous reaction to the Republican presidential candidate’s letter has gone viral on social media, garnering millions of views.  Conservative activist Charlie Kirk shared the footage, writing, “Wow. This is one of the most incredible videos you’ll see. This little eight-year-old boy with a rare brain disorder breaks down in tears when he opens a letter from President Trump wishing him a happy birthday.”

Trump Advisor Kevin Smith also shared the clip on X, with a caption that read, “Meet Liam. A New York boy with a rare brain disorder and growth hormone deficiency. Who got a very special 8th birthday letter from a very special person.” He added, “This is the side of Trump the media WILL NEVER show you.”  Various other users on social media reacted with joy and amazement to the heartwarming gesture from Trump.

“The profound impact of a personal gesture from President Trump. The emotional reaction of the young boy underscores the importance of kindness and connection, reminding us how small acts can create significant moments of joy and hope in challenging circumstances,” another person wrote.  Another user added, “Absolutely beautiful! What a sweet little angel. This is what Trump does and he’d do it even if he wasn’t running for president. This is who he is to the core. This is what the left doesn’t want you to know or see. BTW, my tears would be less if I was cutting onions at close range.”
