In an unprecedented attack on the press, violent anti-ICE protestors demolished a van belonging to Fox LA reporter Mathew Seedorff. Reacting to the senseless vandalism, the reporter noted that all of the windows had been smashed, all of their belongings taken, and profanities painted on the side of the car.
For context, since June 7, 2025, violent anti-ICE riots have rocked Los Angeles, plunging the city into mass lawlessness reminiscent of the 2020 riots. In repose, President Trump and other Republicans have criticized CA Governor Gavin Newsom for allowing these destructive riots to proceed.
In any case, Seedorff took to X on June 7, 2025, to explain his situation. He posted, “Our vehicle took a hit in Paramount. Protesters continue to square off with Border Patrol agents. The situation has been going on for about 5 hours now. #Paramount #California.”
Adding additional context, he recorded a video explaining the extent of the damage. The reporter said, “So this is what’s left of our work car. We had it parked near the scene. Obviously, we got here right at the beginning before we knew it was going to escalate to the situation that it got to. ”
Explaining the egregious vandalism, he said, “This is a brand new news truck that we just got. Looks like the tires were slashed. They busted into the windows. I’ll see our personal bags were in the car. They stole all the stuff that was inside. There are some things here. Looks like they took cinder blocks through the window.”
Reacting to his video in the comments, one conservative wrote, “So much for California’s law enforcement. Preventing crime like this isn’t related to participation in ICE ops. Hope it makes sense now: CA is lawless and has no interest in protecting lives and property. This is way beyond simply supporting ICE ops. Glad I could help.”
Annoyed by the situation, one woman wrote, “Is LAPD still refusing to assist? Where’s the Governor? Mayor Karen Bass needs to be charged for inciting riots. Or insurrection.” One local man was enraged, saying, “I’m seething. Every parking ticket I paid for a metered spot. Taxes. The emissions tests. All the bullshit we pay and do as citizens. And these animals can and are allowed to destroy cars and peoples property.”

Advocating for harsh sentences, one user said, “Arrest anybody and everyone they can get their hands on, those that are not US citizens, deport them immediately. Those that are US citizens mandatory five years maxim security jail.” Building on this point, another said, “Why do you expect more from these losers. You should have expected it. These people are the grime of a sewage pump. They should all be arrested but Gavin closed most of the prisons in CA!”

Rounding out the comments, one user stated, “They are losing, and now they must lash out with violence. They are losing so badly they are (again) laying the groundwork for civil war. Who is losing? The corrupt, and the ignorant, misguided fools who believe their dishonest narratives. Let’s hope that most of their minions have been eliminated, neutralized, and/or deported.”
