President Donald Trump held a midterm election rally in Texas on October 7, 2026, an event that was ultimately interrupted when several protesters decided to get loud and crazy. A few of the miscreants actually shouted down an angel mom who was at the event talking about how two criminal illegal aliens murdered her son.
A total of 12 individuals disrupted the rally in San Antonio, popping up and being obnoxious just 45 minutes into President Trump’s address, which was centered around the Lone Star State being threatened if Democrats defeat Trump’s endorsed candidates in the November elections. As the hecklers interrupted the event, Trump fired back over and over again, slamming their appearance and accusing them of being paid protesters.
After the first interruption, Trump proclaimed, “His mom voted for Trump.” Another person interrupted, prompting the president to say, “That guy’s got to lose a lot of weight.” Trump again said, “They’re paid protesters. They’re paid by enemies of our nation.” The protests continued even as Marie Vega, an angel mom, got on stage to tell the story of her son’s murder.
According to The New York Post, Vega herself survived an armed robbery carried out by two illegal aliens that left her husband seriously injured and her son Javier “Harvey” Vega Jr., a Border Patrol agent, dead. “Everything was going perfect until two career criminal illegal aliens decided to ambush us in an attempt to steal two four-wheel-drive trucks,” Vega went on to say about the day her son was murdered.
“Without warning, they jumped out of the stolen vehicle they were driving and … they shot at us, killing my Harvey as he so desperately tried to protect us,” she told the audience at the rally. “They shot my husband in the back and continued shooting at everyone there, including my two little grandsons and their friend.
“In an attempt to protect our family, I picked up the AR that Harvey had reached for before getting shot in the chest, and I returned fire,” Vega continued. As Vega was pointing out that Democrats “want to strip” Americans of their Second Amendment rights, a commotion broke out in the crowd, which forced her to pause her speech for about a minute.
During the event, President Trump asked Republican U.S. Senate nominee Ken Paxton, who is currently serving as Texas attorney general, to come up on stage with him. “I think he’s probably the greatest attorney general in the history of the state of Texas. He is tough. And he was with us all the way,” Trump praised Paxton.

“If you get elected for job performance, you’re going to have a blowout because there’s nobody like him,” he added, informing voters that the GOP Senate candidate is “the only thing standing between you and the migrant conquest, the invasion you had two years ago.” He later said, “I’m very proud of him and I think he’s going to be an unbelievable senator.”
President Trump also took an opportunity to rip into Paxton’s Democratic opponent, James Talarico, giving him one of his comical nicknames, “Talafreako,” accusing the left-wing lawmaker of being a vegan. The president then provided a humorous anecdote, saying First Lady Melania Trump has insisted he say the word “vegan” correctly. “You know, my wife told me, ‘Sir, do me a favor … it’s not vaygun, it’s vegan… Please pronounce that word properly,’” the president said to the crowd. “How the hell would I know? I like steak.”
