A recent video from a woman who allegedly assaulted ICE agents as part of a raid on the Minneapolis Target she worked at has been let go, much to the joy of online conservatives. Months ago, ICE agents raided the location and arrested several workers who became physically aggressive with DHS personnel.
However, much of the coverage, from both left-wing media and Democratic lawmakers, was typical, out of touch, and hysterical. In the comments, Trump supporters mocked the woman and her entitled attitude.
In the text superimposed on the video, the woman offered her side of the story, writing, “This is me… fired from Target after 6 years… and jailed for one night after pushing an ICE agent during a raid in a Minneapolis store ❤️😢.”
Additionaly, she stated, “Some of the people I worked with every day are undocumented immigrants. Friends. Coworkers. People who just came in to do their jobs. When ICE entered the Target store, everything escalated fast… People were scared… I physically tried to stop them from taking my coworkers away.”
Reacting to the clip, a conservative noted, “This liberal commie has the sads because she got fired from her job of six years after she pushed an ICE agent who was participating in a raid at her store. Of course, she plays the victim and uploads a video about it. Thank you @Target!”
For context, posting a clip of the initial incident, a left-wing journalist tweeted, “D**N : ICE grabbed a 17-year-old Target worker at his job, despite him saying he’s a US citizen. After confirming he was, they dumped him in a Walmart lot 8 min away. Bystanders found him sobbing, bleeding: “They slammed me on the ground.” Adding much-needed context, the DHS explained, “This individual was arrested for assaulting federal law enforcement officers under 18 U.S.C 111, assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers.”

Reacting, Rep. Michael Howard (DFL) whined, “As members of the Minneapolis Delegation, we are demanding that ICE leave our city and face accountability for their unlawful, violent, and oppressive actions.”
“At this time, we are asking our community to stay safe, to not buy the propaganda from Homeland Security, and look out for one another,” he added, “In the coming days, we will do everything we can to protect each other from this hostile federal government.”
In the comments under the video, conservatives expressed their anger. “The Left believes that victims are heroes. They did it with George Floyd and she’s doing the same thing. In reality, she did something incredibly stupid and lost her job. Even more shocking, she worked at Target for six years…” one user quipped.
Another added, “These morons can’t even handle a job at Target and then scream about us not paying their student loans for them.” Agreeing, one comment read, “arget just needs a couple of years to recover from the blm smash and grabs, but they’ll be back at it soon enough to promote all the best in degeneracy and subversion just in time before all the liberals fully abandon them.”
