FBI Director Kash Patel obliterated Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) in a fiery exchange during Patel’s first Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing. At one point during the fireworks, Booker slammed Patel by telling him he’s failing as a leader and expects him to be handed a pink slip by President Donald Trump. However, it’s really Patel who gets the best of the verbal fisticuffs.
Booker ripped into Patel for firing many of the bureau’s career staff members, effectively shredding the agency’s crime-fighting expertise and hollowing out its leadership, going on to tell him, “I believe you’re failing.” The hearing follows heavy criticism Patel took from Republicans over his handling of the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk.
“Because of your failures of leadership, I don’t think you’re fit to lead the bureau. Here’s the thing, Mr. Patel, I think you’re not going to be around long. I think this might be your last full oversight hearing,” Booker went on to say during the hearing. “Because as much as you supplicate yourself to the will of Donald Trump and not the constitution of the United States of America, Donald Trump has shown us in his first term, and in this term, he is not loyal to people like you. He will cut you loose.”
Thus far, Booker’s words have not come to pass and its doubtful they will. Patel fired back at Booker saying, “Sir, that rant of false information does not bring this country together,” before blasting Booker and saying, “it’s my time.”
Patel’s fiery statement is a response to the increase in violent and degenerate rhetoric that erupted all over the country following Kirk’s murder at Utah Valley University. Kirk was shot in the neck while holding a Turning Point USA event designed to engage the worldview of young people on college campuses and show that people of opposing views can have civil open debates.
Following the tragic incident, many radical leftists took to social media to share posts and videos of themselves celebrating Kirk’s death. Prior to the assassination, several school shootings at Catholic schools and churches had been carried out by radical transgender individuals causing an intensification of political division across the United States.

In August, Robert Westman, a biological male who identified as a transgender female, opened fire at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, killing two children and injuring 17 others, according to the New York Post. Showcasing the chasm that now divides the country politically, Westman’s manifesto included the phrase “kill Donald Trump” and “for the children,” which was written on gun magazines.
“It’s my time to address your falsehoods. You are an embarrassment to this country,” Patel added. Booker’s head nearly exploded with rage as he retorted, “You don’t tell me my time is over! You can’t lecture me!”
“This is my time. Not yours,” Patel shot back. The shouting match was brought to a close by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) who banged his gavel as Booker, in the full throes of a meltdown, responded to Patel saying, “I’m not afraid of you.”
