WATCH: Kash Patel Calls Out Nancy Pelosi for Corruption, Threatens to “Bring the Thunder” against Corrupt Politicians

Speaking during an interview with former Navy SEAL and Blackwater private military contractor Shawn Ryan, who now owns and operates a podcast called “The Shawn Ryan Show,” now-FBI Director Kash Patel told Ryan that he thinks former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a corrupt politician who is guilty of insider trading.

That podcast interview, which was released on Sep 2, 2024, has risen to the fore on X (formerly Twitter) since Mr. Patel was confirmed by the United States Senate as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as it is seen as an indication that Director Patel will use the FBI to start going after corrupt politicians like Pelosi.

Drawing attention to the critical clip about Pelosi and her stock trading in a February of 2025 post, the “Unusual Whales” X account, which focuses on Congressional stock trading, quoted Patel as saying that Pelosi had used insider knowledge to rake in millions upon millions of dollars off of seemingly genius stock trades.

In the clip posted by Unusual Whales, Patel alleged that Pelosi had made hundreds of millions of dollars of profit off of “insider trading deals,” by which he likely meant stock deals executed by her husband, Paul Pelosi. He said, “Look at Nancy Pelosi’s insider trading deals. It is insider trading, and she keeps making $100s of millions of dollars.”

Commenters on that post largely agreed and said things like “For those who don’t know…Insider trading is theft. Those people are selling or buying stocks, influencing the price of your shares with an unfair advantage” and “The Pelosi family has been cashing in for years Time to expose the corruption.”

Commenting on the same clip, another poster argued that Patel had indicated he would “bring the thunder” against Pelosi and others, saying, “So Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer and friends should be very concerned. Kash Patel isn’t going to be playing around. He’s not looking for the media spotlight! He’s going to bring the thunder!”

During the same interview with Mr. Ryan, Patel said that as FBI Director, he would shut down the FBI’s Hoover Building, something he has not yet done or made much of an indication he is working on effecting. Regardless, he told Ryan, “I’d shut down the FBI Hoover Building on day one and reopen it the next day as a museum of the Deep State. Then, I’d take the 7,000 employees that work in that building and send them across America to chase down criminals. Go be cops. You’re cops—go be cops.”

Continuing, he noted that there is a great deal of bloat in the bureau’s budget that needs to be trimmed out, something that the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency will likely help him with, saying, “Every agency and department that I’ve ever worked for, when it comes to the fiscal end of the year, they’re like, go on trips, go spend money. What? Just give it back to Congress. We can’t do that.”
