Vice President Kamala Harris has recently received criticism online for a resurfaced video showing a compilation of her statements defending President Biden’s mental state. Some have suggested that Harris blatantly lied in the statements as Biden’s cognitive faculties have appeared to progressively decline throughout his presidency.
Conservative commentator Steve Guest shared the footage on X with the caption, “WATCH: Over 6 minutes of Kamala Harris covering up Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. For years, she said Biden is ‘very bold and vibrant’ and is ‘tireless in terms of working. Kamala claimed Biden ‘is gonna be fine,’ and said he ‘is in good shape, in good health. Kamala LIED.”
Donald Trump Jr. responded to the viral clip, suggesting no one is more complicit in propping up President Biden’s mental health as much as Harris. “No one has lied more to the American people about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline than Kamala Harris!” he wrote. “One of MANY reasons a Kamala switch wouldn’t be as simple as some Democrats think – she’s one of the main characters behind this cover-up,” Republican communicator Matt Whitlock added to the conversation.
Conservative commentator Fusilli Spock not only blamed Harris but the entire mainstream media apparatus for allegedly downplaying the severity of Biden’s cognitive decline. Spock opined, “Joe lied Kamala lied Jill lied KJP lied Democrats lied CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC lied WaPo, NYT, LA Times, lied Online pundits lied And, they’ll continue to lie, shamelessly, in the pursuit of power.”
Amid criticism Harris is facing for her ostensible role in covering up for President Biden, First Lady Jill Biden is also receiving substantial criticism as well. The American Tribune recently reported on commentary from hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman, who suggested that Jill craves “the feeling of power” and is, therefore, “making” her husband stay in the race when he is showing signs that he isn’t fit to do so.
Ackman said, “I no longer blame @POTUS Biden for not stepping aside. He no longer has the mental acuity to make important judgments about himself. It is becoming increasingly clear however that the fault lies with @FLOTUS Jill Biden. FL Jill Biden becomes irrelevant the moment her husband is no longer president. No more Air Force One. No more glamorous life. No more White House dinners for dignitaries. No more being treated like a queen when traveling the world.”
The Tribune also reported on other comments from Trump 2024 national press secretary Karoline Leavitt who argued that Jill Biden should be held accountable for “elder abuse,” claiming that any loving wife would encourage Biden to step down in his current situation. She also called out the Democratic Party and the media for continuously engaging in a “cover-up” surrounding his health.

“And I think the media, it’s time for them to finally step up after they’ve been complicit in this cover-up by the Democrat Party over the last four years and ask really tough questions of Jill Biden and of the Biden family about what they know about our president’s state. Clearly, Jill Biden obviously knows her husband better than anyone else in this country, in this world, and she too continues to lie to the American people. It really is shameful. She’s been engaging in elder abuse, and she should be held accountable for that,” Leavitt said.
