In a hilarious exchange, British TV personality Piers Morgan obliterated Joy Reid, exposing her hypocrisy after unearthing her past remarks about the gay themed Western film Brokeback Mountain. Ried, who was recently fired in disgrace from MSNBC, was left stammering and was forced to deflect to other topics.
For context, Morgan contrasted her 2005 comments, in which she expressed discomfort with the controversial movie, with her more recent remarks about LGBTQ books in the classroom. While Reid has sanctimoniously described herself as a LGBTQ ally and attacked groups like Moms for Liberty for opposing explicit LGBT content in schools, she refused to admit a contradiction which Morgan labeled “preposterous.”
In any case, Morgan laid a masterful trap which exposed the hypocrisy of the woke elite. He began by asking, “Have you watched Brokeback Mountain? “Because you said ‘I don’t want to watch the two male characters in Brokeback Mountain having sex.’”
Replying, the failed MSNBC anchor said, “Okay, what does me watching Brokeback Mountain have to do with that book [and] whether or not it is pornographic? That book– that is a book that people can have the opportunity to read if they so choose.”
Unwilling to let her dodge the question, the Brit fired back, “I’m not talking about the book!” To which Reid replied, “And I don’t understand how an organization can make a decision… it is not about the book! It is not about the movie.”
Explaining the obvious contraction, Morgan retorted, “Joy! I’m not talking about the book! “You said you would not watch Brokeback Mountain because you don’t want to see two male characters having sex.”
Continuing to hoist Reid by her own petard, he continued to make her squirm. Morgan quoted, “‘Does that make me homophobic? Probably. Most straight people cringe at the sight of two men kissing.’ Your words, not mine, Joy.”

Not done embarrassing her, he added, “Maybe that makes you a bit of a hypocrite when you’re taking a position of being an ally of the LGBTQ community. And actually, the best way to handle it, I would argue, is to say, you know what, I did write that at the time, they’re not my views now. I’ve learned, I’ve evolved, I’ve moved on. Trying to pretend even now is preposterous, and I think you know that!”
Pathetically trying to excuse herself, Reid deflected, “I’ve taken responsibility for everything that was on that site. I’m deeply apologetic for the things that were on that site that hurt people, and I’ve taken responsibility because it was my site, and that’s the end of that.”

As we reported, this is far from Joy Reid’s only controversy. In reaction to Trump’s comments about ‘Aligator Alcatraz,’ Reid attacked First Lady Melania Trump in a bizarre rant. She whined, “Well… if we ever get a Democratic president, they could say, ‘I don’t like Melania Trump. She wasn’t born here. She was born in Slovenia. She is a naturalized citizen. She’s outta here.’”
