Far-left Minnesota Governor Tim Walz did not have a good day back in early March when Rep. Jim Jordan ruthlessly grilled him over the infamous, $250 million “Feeding Our Future” scandal, in which a ring of primarily Somalian migrants stole immense sums from taxpayers by lying about serving meals to needy children. Rep. Jordan caught Walz in a major lie, and called him on it.
Particularly, the Republican congressman called out Tim Walz for allegedly turning a blind eye to the fraud because he did not want to upset Somali-American voters, given the general heritage of those involved in the scheme. Walz had claimed that a court required the funds to flow, but Jordan exposed that to be a lie.
Pressing Walz on his lies during the early March hearing, Jordan snapped, “Why don’t you just tell the truth about the Feeding Our Future program? This program, my understanding, received $3 million the first year. Within a couple years, was getting $200 million of taxpayer money. Whistleblowers raised concerns, as the chairman said. Auditors raised concerns, everybody raised concerns. March 30, 2021 the payments are stopped, and a little over a month later, the payments are restarted. Why didn’t you tell the truth about why you restarted the payments?”
Then, as Walz tried to hedge and dodge, Jordan snapped that Walz’s answer wasn’t what he had asked about. He added, “I said, ‘Why didn’t you tell the truth about why you restarted the payments?’ The payments stopped because there were concerns, obviously, he wouldn’t stop the payments. Then they restarted a month later. What was the reason for restarting the payments?”
That’s when Walz lied. He said, “My understanding was that the agency believed that the court had required them to make those payments.” Jordan immediately called him out for lying, snapping, “And that was false, wasn’t it? You said that, didn’t you? You said the reason you restarted is because the court ordered you to do so, is that right?”
Walz refused to give a straight answer, so Jordan totally exposed his lies by bringing the receipts. He said, “Well, I think it is because the court did something that I just don’t.. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it. They issued a statement saying you were wrong in what you were saying. This is from the court. It says feeding our future versus Minnesota Department of Education, correcting reports and statements by Governor Tim Walz concerning orders issued by the court.”
Continuing, he quoted the judge involved, saying, “Here’s what the judge says: ‘Governor Tim Walz told the media that the Minnesota Department of Education attempted in payments to FOF because of possible fraud, but that Judge Gutsman Guthman ordered payments to continue in April 2021 . . . that is false.'”

Concluding that point, Jordan said, “So you said something wasn’t true. He further states this. Judge Guthman, the court says this. Judge Guthman never ordered the Department of Education to resume payments to Feeding Our Future in April 2021 or at any other time. So I want to know, why didn’t you tell the truth,”
