On a recent episode of the popular Fox News program, “The Five,” liberal co-host Jessica Tarlov flipped her lid after well-known contributor Tyrus floated the use of what the left would call a “mean” word, going on to ask him if that term was being applied to her directly. “Are you saying that about me?!” she would later ask Tyrus.
The moment occurred during a discussion of a speech delivered by President Donald Trump at a rally held in Rockland County, New York, in support of Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY). “Today,” she said, “telling people you have more money in your pockets when nobody thinks that — except the richest Americans at this point.”
“You know, the weird stuff again about the cognitive tests and how he’s acing things that they give to people who’ve had traumatic brain injuries, no one knows there’s a B in the word dumb — we all know there’s a B in the word dumb,” Tarlov continued. “And he has cratering support with core constituencies. In the Fox poll, amongst Republicans, non-MAGA GOP, white voters, rural Americans, approval in the mid-30s, 71% disapprove of the economy, he’s negative 52 on handling inflation.”
“And guess what? There are no legislative accomplishments for the Republicans. [Sen.] Josh Hawley [R-MO] has admitted it,” she said, according to a report from Mediaite via Yahoo News. “There’s a big POLITICO piece about this. I love this from a GOP Senate aide: ‘The so-called victories’ — I’m talking about this getting [Rep.] Thomas Massie [R-KY] out — ‘over the last couple of weeks are just a mirage. They’re self-owns. Gas is up 45% due to the president’s decisions to go to war with Iran, and he’s focused on the ballroom and his slush fund.'”
“They couldn’t do the reconciliation bill because he’s like, ‘Oh, there were very fine people who came in on January 6, and they deserve compensation,'” Tarlov explained. This is the point in the viral video clip where Tyrus piped in with the comment that left the liberal anchor flabbergasted. “There’s another word with a B that I would like to add to that, and it’s in the front,” Tyrus said.
A stunned Tarlov quickly asked the Fox News contributor, “Are you saying that about me, Tyrus?!” He then clarified, “I’m talking about the Democratic Party.” As you can imagine, the comment section on social media platform X was fiery. “Yes, he’s calling you a b***h because you are one. An ignorant one, with a voice that makes dogs howl in pain,” one user wrote.
“Fox News obviously hates their viewers to subject them to her on a show that is otherwise an enjoyable show to watch,” someone else commented. One user wrote, “She’s so annoying. I literally fast forward when she talks. She comes out with fake polls and has the worst TDS. She’s constantly doing the whataboutism and her TDS is pretty bad. I prefer Harold because he’s makes much better and believable points.”

“Fox should have various opinions. But why have a host that is for all practical purposes a mouthpiece for the Democrat Party and their talking points? This lady should be replaced with someone who can provide objective assessments and arguments,” someone else commented. A person responding to that comment cooked up a nickname for the anchor, referring to her as “Talking Points Tarlov.”
