In a heartwarming moment from the Vance family that competed even with the crowd’s cheering for Barron Trump in tugging at the MAGA conservative corner of the internet’s heartstrings, JD Vance’s young son was spotted and captured on camera taking a nap during the inaugural parade. Namely, he was seen napping on the ledge of the stand in which he was sitting in between President Trump and Vice President Vance.
As could be predicted, the internet absolutely loved the moment. The Fox News Channel account on X (formerly Twitter), for example, posted, “Step aside Mr. President and Vice President… JD Vance’s son is capturing America’s heart. Vivek Vance appeared to take a nap during an adorable, yet relatable moment at the inaugural parade.”
Another person who posted a picture of the little boy resting his head on the ledge, an account on X going by “My Forever Freddie,” said that Vance’s young kids were “a breath of fresh air” during the inauguration. That account wrote, “
. Vance’s kids have been a breath of fresh air today. First the little with all her bandaids at the swearing in and now this little guy. 
”
The American Conservative’s X account posted about the matter as well, using the boy’s nap to make a point about America being utterly exhausted by the past four years of chaos under President Joe Biden and saying, “JD Vance’s son takes a much deserved rest. It’s been a long four years but America is back.”
Also posting a picture of the boy’s nap, this one showing him napping with his head on the ledge while Vance and Trump stood on his side’s the RT X account said, “‘We’re gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you’ll say, ‘Please, please. It’s too much winning” JD Vance’s son Vivek takes famous Trump quote literally as he falls asleep, with celebrations rolling into their 8th hour.”
And yet another account that posted a picture of the nap and joked about it, this one going by “Tracie Taylor,” joked that Vance’s son was wanting a promised treat. That account wrote, “This is cute! You know VP Vance’s son is thinking, “ Dad you said we were going to a parade and this isn’t what I expected, I better be getting the ice cream I was promised if I behaved!” lol.” Watch the moment here:

Another commenter, posting a clip of two of Vance’s young kids being relatively “well-behaved kid stuff” while sitting near the presidential families, said, “Vance’s little bitty kids doing normal but well-behaved kid stuff while the President and First Lady enjoy their presence is a massive, massive white pill.”
Yet another account, posting about the moment generally for the Vance family and commenting on his son’s nap as well, said, “Must be pretty wild going to a rather small town high school and then getting invited to go march in DC because an alumnus is now VP. Also Vance’s kid falling asleep on the ledge is adorable.”
