Far-left Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) faces the loss of her Houston-area seat thanks to redistricting efforts in Texas carried out by Gov. Greg Abbott as part of the DOJ’s push against districts created by “race-based gerrymandering,” and she has joined other Texas Democrats in going completely berserk over the moves.
In fact, when speaking at an event in Phoenix, Arizona, that was hosted by a far-left advocacy group called MoveOn, Rep. Crockett called on the Texas Republicans who fled from the Lone Star State to avoid having to vote in the Texas legislature on redistricting to get even more “aggressive” in fighting Republicans.
That came when Rep. Crockett was asked what her view on politics at the moment is, and she insisted that all Democrats need to be “aggressive,” saying, “I do want to be aggressive.” Bizarrely, she then insisted that they have to do so because “trade agreements” have been broken, saying, “because we’re going to have to be aggressive because some of the things that have been broken such as some of our trade agreements, they may not come back.”
Continuing with her rambling point about being “aggressive,” Rep. Crockett insisted that she has such an attitude and it is needed, in such forms as getting rid of the filibuster in the Senate, to protect “healthcare” and other rights. She said, “I’m aggressive. So for me, I don’t serve in the Senate, but I would get rid of the filibuster if it means that we can for voting rights because we don’t get rights to [reproduction]. We don’t get rights to healthcare. We don’t get rights to education.
Still not done, Crockett then continued with her insistent point about fighting various institutions, saying, “We don’t get any other rights if we don’t have the ability to access the ballot box. So those are the things that I would do. I would get aggressive on the Supreme Court and I would get aggressive about making sure that we equalize this thing so that we can all access the ballot box.”
Then, using that to praise the state-level Texas Democrats for fleeing from Texas so as to avoid having to vote on redistricting, saying, “Right before I got over here, my former colleagues from the Texas House, those Texas Democrats, decided to get the hell out of Texas. They decided to use whatever tools they could and breaking quorum is where they are at right now. And they didn’t just do it by themselves. They went to Illinois where there is a governor that gives a damn. You see, this fight is going to take all of us.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, on the other hand, has both sounded off on their causing chaos and delay by fleeing the state and has moved to vacate their seats as punishment. Commenting on the matter, he said, “Real Texans do not run from a fight. But that’s exactly what most of the Texas House Democrats just did…rather than doing their job and voting on urgent legislation affecting the lives of all Texans, they have fled Texas to deprive the House of the quorum necessary to meet and conduct business.”
