U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who will be leaving Congress at the conclusion of her current term after losing a bid for the Senate, spewed forth a racist, hateful anti-white monologue, defending black teenager Karmelo Anthony, who was convicted of murder for fatally stabbing white teenager Austin Metcalf at a track meet in Frisco, Texas in 2025. She then suggested that she would have taken a similar course of action if she had been in Anthony’s position.
A Collin County jury deliberated for three hours on June 9, 2026, before announcing Anthony’s guilty verdict. The jury heard testimony from over a dozen witnesses who almost unanimously stated that Anthony was responsible for escalating the conflict between the two boys after taking a seat under the rival school’s tent.
Anthony then pulled a knife from his backpack and drove the blade through Metcalf’s chest after a light shove. Anthony had been asked to leave over 15 times, while Metcalf made it clear to him that he had no desire to fight him. Anthony was then handed a 35 year prison sentence with the possibility of parole after serving half of it, just a few hours after the verdict was read.
During an episode of her “Clock It With Crockett” podcast, the Texas Democrat defended Anthony’s violent and unnecessary actions before launching into a racist tirade against Metcalf’s family, saying she, too, would have stabbed the young man. After she defended the idea of a high school student bringing a knife to school and using it to stab someone, Crockett misrepresented the circumstances of the case to twist the narrative and claim Anthony’s life was in danger, according to Trending Politics News.
“You know, I would argue that even, the only time we go into things like people’s hands being considered deadly weapons, is typically, like, if they’re a professional boxer, that kind of stuff, but I think by the time you start getting to, like, football player, good argument. Good, freaking arguments. We are not talking about, like, the golfers. We’re talking about football players, right?” Crockett said.
The soon-to-be former congresswoman then attacked the Metcalfs, suggesting the idea they couldn’t endure the “pain” a black woman endures by simply existing. “Black women, especially black women who have black male children live in fear and agony every single day … fear and agony that I promise you the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way and we’re going to have to have just some real conversations about race in this country.”
And Crockett wasn’t done yet. She then falsely stated that the jury was made up of “12 white folks,” which was not the case at all. “So, black people, stop walking yourself off the juries. First of all, make sure you show up,” she went on to say. What Crockett failed to note was that one black juror was struck from the jury after saying he couldn’t put a “brother” in jail.

Crockett has a history of making controversial statements. Her most notable moment came when she referred to Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott as “governor hot wheels.” Abbott is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. In various interviews and speeches she’s also referred to President Donald Trump as “Temu Hitler.”
