Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) went on an absurd rant where she compared ICE operations in Minneapolis to an occupation and ranted against ICE. At the same event, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) echoed these comments and went after DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
For context, President Trump has demanded an immediate investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar’s stunning $30 million net worth on Truth Social, calling it impossible on a congressional salary and alleging serious crimes. Building out his arguments, he tied her wealth to Minnesota fraud. House Oversight Chair James Comer echoed calls for probes, questioning her husband’s rapid accumulation of wealth through investment funds.
Ilhan Omar, as could be predicted, freaked out and sounded off about the whole thing, claiming that the crackdown is just a “grift”. “Not only is the federal occupation hurting businesses, but the President’s reprehensible rhetoric has also left right-wing grifters to show up here to terrorize our community,” the irritating Democrat and Squad member raved to the assembled crowd of activists.
Speaking at the same event, fellow squad member, Rep. Ayanna Pressley ranted, “I want to extend my sympathies to Renee Good’s family, a loving mother and artist, a concerned community member, who was a US citizen and a residential community that was murdered in broad daylight with shots fired at close range into her vehicle.”
“What is happening now is, you know, neighbors that are saying we are going to send you the humanity of all of our neighbors and defend our neighbors and our community in the face of the rogue and racist actions of ICE,’ the entitled Democrat alleged.
Turning her scorn to Kristi Noem, Pressley opined, “I want to say about Kristi Noem, you know, what a dangerous cocktail of authority, bigotry and incompetence. She should resign or needs to be impeached. But she is a danger.”
Wrapping up her absurd comments, she stated, “And ICE is a threat and a danger to every person who calls this country home, and finally, this is why I’ve introduced the qualified immunity abolition Act. Because these federal officers must be held accountable.”

Before these comments, President Trump called for an investigation into Rep. Omar. “Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is worth over $30 Million Dollars. There is no way such wealth could have been accumulated, legally, while being paid the salary of a politician,” he posted to Truth Social.
“She should be investigated for Financial and Political Crimes, and that investigation should start, NOW!” he said, adding, “The first to go should be Walz, and Fake Sleazebag, Ilhan Omar, who is supposedly worth over $30 Million Dollars, even though she’s never had anything but a Government job. Investigate these Corrupt Politicians, and do it now!”

Likewise, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer declared, “There are a lot of questions as to how her husband accumulated so much wealth over the past two years. It’s not possible. It’s not. I’m a money guy. It’s not possible.”
And, on much the same note, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “And the President raised a good question over the weekend, with respect to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who now has a net worth within the millions, and one must ask themselves, why and how is that possible?” She added, “Is she connected to the fraud rings that we have seen taking place within her state and her own district? It’s a question the American people are raising, and the President believes it’s one worth answering.”
