WATCH: ICE Raid on Blue State Facility Leads to Dozens of Arrests

In yet another major operation targeting the illegal immigration crisis that reached critical mass under former President Joe Biden, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents targeted a logistics facility in the blue state of New Jersey, arresting nearly four dozen illegal aliens in just the one operation.

As background, ICE and the Department of Homeland Security generally have been cracking down with particular vigor on blue areas, guessing that those jurisdictions that are more friendly to illegal immigration are more target-rich environments than red states like Florida that are already relatively strict in dealing with illegal immigration.

That has meant not just sweeping raids across notoriously far-left cities with sanctuary policies like Los Angeles and Chicago, as have taken the media by storm, but also raids on farms out in the rural areas of California and small towns like Avenel, New Jersey, where the logistic center raid occurred and led to dozens of arrests.

That raid in Avenel was announced on Thursday, October 30, with federal authorities revealing that DHS agents carried out a massive, sweeping operation targeting a freight warehouse in the town. During the sweeping operation, which was characterized as being part of an ongoing campaign to ensure immigration regulation compliance, 46 illegal aliens were arrested.

That number of arrests is quite large, as it means that a massive 22% of the on-site workforce at the federally authorized container freight station was composed of illegal aliens, hinting at a massive, lurking problem across the American economy and outside of just the service and agriculture sectors. All 46 of the illegal aliens are in federal custody now and await immigration proceedings.

Their removal into federal custody came after what surveillance footage showed what appeared to be a very tense moment, with groups of the 46 arrested workers being ushered into waiting vans as a heavily armed, quite large contingent of law enforcement officers surrounded the warehouse and prevented any from leaving.

Commenting on the raid and its purpose, a DHS spokesperson explained that its agents are working tirelessly to “safeguard the integrity of the supply chain and verify that warehouse operators are adhering to all applicable security requirements.”

Continuing, the DHS spokesperson explained that it is working to ensure that the American supply chain and logistics network is secure, saying, “DHS is committed to maintaining the highest levels of security and accountability within bonded facilities to protect both U.S. commerce and the public.”

It was not noted, however, who the warehouse owner is, or whether the commercial parties responsible for the large collection of illegal aliens working there will face civil or criminal penalties as a result of their hiring illegal workers. Many on the MAGA side of politics argue sthat uch penalties are necessary to block such behavior from happening in the future.

Watch the local media’s report on the raid, including surveillance footage, here:

This major raid follows a similar raid on a commercial facility in the state of Georgia, where nearly 500 individuals, almost all of them South Korean nationals, were detained because they were found to be in America illegally, primarily on improper visas. That facility was a battery production plant owned and operated by Hyundai-LG.
