Former President Trump still has the perfect touch that gives his political program and personality resonance with the common man, as evidenced by the interaction he had on June 13th with a huge crowd at Versailles Bakery in Miami. There, a massive crowd welcomed the president, supported him as he dealt with the 37 charges brought against him, and wished him an early happy birthday.
Watch two great videos of that cheerful welcome the crowd gave to Trump here:

Trump, while at the popular restaurant, promised “food for everyone” and the crowd didn’t just sing for him, but prayed over him as well. Here’s them praying over him:

Trump’s trip to the bakery was a bit different than DeSantis’ trip to a pizza restaurant in Ohio as a pre-campaign testing of the waters, during which he received a somewhat cold, uninterested welcome from the crowd and the photos of the event released online were widely mocked. As an additional point of contrast between the two men, when Trump visited a pizza place around the same time, a huge crowd gathered around him, and he handed out slices of pizza to them. He has the common touch.
In addition to the crowd that showed up to wish Trump a happy birthday, well-wishers online did so as well. Reverend. Franklin Graham, for instance, said, “Today is President@realDonaldTrump’s 77th birthday! I hope that he can have a good birthday after all of the events in recent days. I know that he, Melania, and the family would appreciate your prayers. Happy Birthday President Trump!”

Similarly, investigative journalist Laura Loomer said, “Today is not only President Trump’s birthday, but it’s also Flag Day. 🇺🇸 Flag Day is a celebration of the American flag on June 14 to remember when the Continental Congress introduced our country’s first flag as the official American flag on June 14, 1777. Not really sure what we are celebrating anymore since our country has gone to hell. But Happy Flag Day! Might not be too many more flag days to celebrate in the future as we watch America crumble before our eyes. Won’t be long before the White House is draped in a communist flag.”
Additionally, the bakery video infuriated CNN’s Jake Tapper. Playing it during a segment, he got angry watching it and yelled, “The folks in the control room, I don’t need to see anymore of that! He’s trying to turn it into a spectacle and into a campaign ad. That is enough of that!” Watch that here:

Commenters on the video mocked Tapper for his freak out, saying things like “I hope his producer had his binky nearby, the poor baby” and “Poor, poor, Jake. I hope he doesn’t suffer PTSD from seeing this. 😏
🤡”
It wasn’t just the crowd at Versailles Bakery that sang “happy birthday” to Trump either. The crowd at his speech in Bedminster, NJ, which he gave after the charges in Miami, sang the song as well, as you can watch here:
